👋 Good afternoon, Local Point Church!

📍Please note an important location change for this Sunday:

Local Point Church will meet at Newport Middle School instead of Broad Creek Middle School.

Broad Creek Middle School will be conducting a deep cleaning this weekend to prepare for the upcoming school week. To give their team uninterrupted access, we’ll temporarily relocate our service this Sunday, August 30.

⏰ Our service time remains the same: 10:00–11:00 AM.

"What Does God Say About Your Money?" — Week 4: Kids & Money

How we handle money today teaches our kids how to handle life tomorrow. 💵👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

This week we talked about stewarding both money and the next generation:

🔑 Teach wisdom before wealth (Deut. 6:6-7, Eph. 6:4, Prov. 22:6)
🚗 Don't hand them the keys if they don't know how to drive (Prov. 20:21)
💪 Callouses build character that handouts don't (Prov. 14:23)
📅 Your today is your kids' tomorrow (2 Cor. 12:14)

Your kids are learning about money from someone this week — will it be you, or the world?

And here's the bigger question: your kids will inherit whatever you build your life on. What are you building on, if not Jesus?

Shift your financial perspective from temporary to eternal with this message from Week 3 of our series: What Does God Say About Your Money?

Here is the quick recap:

Main Idea: God wants you to have a forever focus with your finances.

Debt makes you a slave to tomorrow. Carrying debt binds your future choices and steals your present peace (Proverbs 22:7). When we seek God's kingdom first and learn contentment, we break free from the trap of living beyond our means (Matthew 6:33-34, 1 Timothy 6:6-8).

Save for tomorrow so you can focus on forever. Wisdom means planning ahead like the ant, not hoarding out of fear or selfishness (Proverbs 6:6-8, James 5:1-3). Wise management frees up your resources to bless others and serve God's purpose (Proverbs 11:26, 21:20).

Align with the heart of Christ and invest in forever. Earthly wealth fades, but what we invest in God's kingdom lasts for eternity. Where you put your money reveals where your heart truly lies (Matthew 6:19-21).
