Stuff-the-Bus Community Event that was held Saturday, August 15 for Newport Elementary School teachers and staff! Thanks to all who participated.

What a GREAT day we had today at the Stuff-the-Bus party in our church’s “backyard”!! We collected a lot of school supplies and other donations for Newport Elementary School. For most of the time we had a regular flow of families that enjoyed the free food as well as play some games and check out the race cars and animals.
Big thanks to the Newport PD and FD for being on site with their personnel and vehicles! Glad to support them and appreciate their service.
Many thanks to all who came out to serve their community and our mighty God on a day staying in the AC would be almost everyone’s preferred first choice. What can I say except … YAY GOD!

Part of the transition process we are going through as a church is looking for individuals to serve on Focus Teams. These teams will help the church prepare for what God is preparing for us in the future.
These forms were in the bulletin a couple weeks ago. This coming Sunday we are asking you to turn them in with the names of individuals you feel will have a positive impact by serving on these teams.

Mid-Week Manna tonight at Newport Baptist Church. Join us for dinner at 5:45 pm. Menu: Ham Sandwiches with all the fixin's. After dinner, we will have community prayer time and book study. We hope to see you there!
