Finish Strong

Takeaway: God doesn’t just start good things—He completes them.

Scripture: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” — Philippians 1:6

Devotional:
As you close out the week, remember that God is not done with you. Even if your week felt messy, unfinished, or overwhelming, His work in you is steady and intentional. Your progress is not measured by perfection but by your willingness to keep walking with Him.

Action Step: Thank God for one area where you’ve seen even a small step of growth this week.

Midweek isn’t the finish line—it’s the proving ground.
By Wednesday, the excitement of Monday is gone and the relief of Friday hasn’t arrived. This is the place where faith becomes endurance.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” — Psalm 28:7

Today, let this be your reminder:

• God’s strength is not reserved for the weekend
• His peace is available right now
• His guidance meets you in the middle, not just at the end

If you’re tired, He restores.
If you’re uncertain, He directs.
If you’re overwhelmed, He carries.

You’re not pushing through this week alone. God is walking with you, step by step.

Doing good can feel exhausting when the results seem slow or invisible. This verse reminds you that God sees every act of faithfulness, even the ones no one else notices. Your perseverance is never wasted. God is working in the unseen, and in His perfect timing, the harvest will come. Keep going—your faithfulness today is planting tomorrow’s blessing.

Trust grows from knowing God—not just knowing about Him, but experiencing His character firsthand. When you remember His faithfulness, His patience, and His steady love, trust becomes your natural response. This verse reminds you that God has never abandoned those who turn to Him. Not once. Not ever.

So whatever you’re carrying today, you can seek Him with confidence. His history with you is proof: He won’t leave you now.

Today we pause to remember.
On Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us of Jesus’ words: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

May we never take their courage for granted.
May we pray for the families who carry their memory.
And may we live with gratitude for the freedom we’ve been given.

When life feels heavy or uncertain, this verse offers a steady anchor. God isn’t distant or indifferent—He is good, and His goodness becomes your shelter. Trouble may come, but it doesn’t get the final word. God invites you to lean into Him, not as a last resort but as a safe refuge.

Trusting Him doesn’t remove every storm, but it does place you in the care of the One who never fails. Today, rest in the truth that you are held, protected, and deeply cared for.

Faith means choosing to trust God even when your circumstances don’t give you any visible reason to. It’s the quiet courage to step forward when the path isn’t clear, believing that God sees what you can’t. Living by faith isn’t pretending everything is fine—it’s anchoring your heart in the One who is steady, present, and faithful.

When you walk by sight, fear grows. When you walk by faith, confidence grows. Today, let your next step be guided not by what you feel or see, but by who God is.

“I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’ Our feet are standing in your gates, Jerusalem.”

These verses capture a moment of anticipation—God’s people arriving in Jerusalem, the place where they gathered to worship. The joy isn’t just about the destination; it’s about the invitation. Someone said, “Let’s go,” and the psalmist’s heart lifted.

There’s something powerful about being called into God’s presence with others. Worship becomes more than a routine—it becomes a shared journey. The psalmist’s joy rises because he’s not walking alone. He’s stepping into a place where God meets His people, strengthens them, and unites them.

In a world that often pulls you in a dozen directions, Psalm 122 invites you to pause and remember:

• Joy grows when you move toward God.
• Strength rises when you gather with others.
• Peace settles in when your feet stand where God is honored.

Sometimes the hardest part is simply saying yes to the invitation. But on the other side of that yes is joy you didn’t know you needed.
