“God does not love us because we are valuable. We are valuable because God loves us.” – Fulton Sheen

Jesus loves you.
We say it often.
We remind others.
But today, I want to pause and pray this truth over you.

Not just that you would hear it again…
but that it would sink deep into your heart,
that it would settle into your bones,
and become the lens through which you see yourself.

We live in a world obsessed with filters—filters that smooth out flaws,
hide blemishes, and present a version of us that looks “perfect.”
But what if the only filter we needed was His love?

What if you saw yourself the way He sees you?

You’d see an imperfect soul, yes—but one who is deeply loved,
eternally valuable, and worth every drop of His sacrifice.
You’d stop measuring your worth by this world’s standards
and start seeing yourself as a beloved child of the King.

His love doesn’t waver.
It doesn’t rise and fall with your performance.
It’s not fragile or fleeting.
It’s fierce, faithful, and forever.

He is your God.
The Living God.
The One who is jealous for your heart and pursues you relentlessly.
He sees the mess and the beauty, the brokenness and the becoming—
and He calls it all His.

While you may fixate on your flaws,
He sees you clothed in grace, crowned in righteousness,
and radiant with dignity and purpose.

So, beloved…
Lift your eyes.
Let His light cut through the shadows of shame and doubt.
Let it restore what the world tried to distort.

You are a son.
You are a daughter.
You are chosen, cherished, and created with glory in mind.
You bear the image of a beautiful, holy God.

Put on that filter today—
the one shaped by love, truth, and divine design.
And see yourself for who you really are…

A fully loved, never forgotten, always pursued child of the King.

June is the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Every image of the Sacred Heart tells a story.

A Heart burning with love.
A Heart pierced for our sins.
A Heart crowned with thorns.
A Heart that continues to beat with mercy for every person who turns to Him.

The Sacred Heart reminds us that God's love is not abstract or distant. It is personal. It is relentless. It is a love that pursued us to Calvary, remained with us in the Eucharist, and continues to seek us even when we wander far from Him.

In a world searching for hope, peace, and healing, the Church invites us this month to draw near to the Heart of Christ and discover the depth of His love. The answer to so many of our fears, anxieties, divisions, and wounds is found in the One whose Heart remains open for us.

This year, that invitation carries special significance.

As our nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of its founding, the United States bishops have called Catholics throughout the country to join in consecrating our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

What a powerful reminder that the future of America will not ultimately be secured by politics, wealth, military strength, or human achievement, but by hearts converted to Christ. Every great renewal in history has begun not with a change in government, but with a change in hearts.

Our nation needs the Sacred Heart.
Our families need the Sacred Heart.
Our parishes need the Sacred Heart.
Our communities need the Sacred Heart.
Our own hearts need the Sacred Heart.

This June, let us spend time before the Blessed Sacrament. Let us enthrone the Sacred Heart in our homes. Let us pray for our nation and for a new outpouring of God's mercy upon the world.

Today, let us entrust ourselves once again to the Heart that has never stopped loving us.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, source of mercy and hope, we place our trust in You.

"Behold this Heart which has so loved men."

❤️ Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
🇺🇸 Sacred Heart of Jesus, bless America.

Today, Pope Leo XIV released his first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, on safeguarding the dignity of the human person in the age of artificial intelligence.

In a world moving at an overwhelming pace, the Holy Father reminds us that we must never lose what makes us truly human. Every person possesses an inviolable dignity given by God, and no advancement in technology should ever diminish the value of the human soul.

The encyclical calls us to reflect deeply on the moral responsibility that comes with innovation. Technology can be a powerful tool for good, but it must always serve truth, peace, authentic human connection, and the common good — never replace our humanity or distance us from one another and from God.

As Catholics, we are encouraged not only to hear about the writings of the Holy Father, but to prayerfully read them ourselves and allow them to form our hearts and minds. I encourage you to take time to read this important encyclical and reflect on what it means for our families, our children, our society, and the future we are building together.

Here is a link to read the full encyclical: https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/encyclicals/documents/20260515-magnifica-humanitas.html

Come Holy Spirit, grant us wisdom, discernment, and the grace to remain deeply human in a rapidly changing world. 🙏

“The true soldier fights, not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.” — G.K. Chesterton 🇺🇸

Today on Memorial Day, we remember the brave men and women who laid down their lives out of love — love for family, love for country, love for freedom, and love for the people they would never even meet.

Their sacrifice reminds us that courage is not rooted in hatred, but in selfless love. As Christians, we know there is no greater love than to give one’s life for another.

May we never forget those who gave everything. May God comfort the families who carry the weight of their loss, bless our veterans and active military, and draw the souls of the fallen into His eternal peace.

Lord, make us people who fight for what is good, holy, and true — not with hatred in our hearts, but with love. 🙏

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13
