“Like a house built on solid rock…”

When Pastor Swann and Rev. Person met Mrs. Gidden during one of their previous visits to Jamaica and heard her story they knew immediately that they needed to help. Instead of just repairing her previous home, Ivy Baptist church stepped in and was able to make a donation that allowed Mrs. Gidden and her husband to move into a home built from the ground up.

The house with the broken foundation wasn’t her last stop and neither is it yours.

God will allow things to be torn down just so that He can build them back stronger.

Thank you Ivy family. Because of your generosity, we weren’t able to just bless this family but as Pastor Smith stated, we were also able to see the fruits of our labor and lay hands on the home that Ivy helped to build.

This is the rebuild.

We know you really went to the HBCU game to see the band… 😂 but think about this:

What if one whole section decided not to play?

What if some members never left the stands?

What if everybody wanted to play the same instrument?

Same is true in the body of Christ. 👀

Different people. Different places. Different gifts. All connected to the same assignment.
