WEDNESDAY: Separation From vs. Separation To

Scripture Focus: Romans 12:2

Romans 12:2 KJV - "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Many people view separation purely in the negative-cutting out bad habits, avoiding certain environments, or walking away from toxic behaviors. While that "separation from" the patterns of the world is necessary, biblical discipleship places the real emphasis on separation to God.

Separation isn't isolation. A disciple doesn't build a wall to hide from the world; rather, they cultivate an internal distinction. You live in the culture, serve the community, and love people deeply, but your values, identity, and ultimate loyalty are anchored elsewhere.

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing me and calling me Your own. Forgive me for the times I have compromised my faith to fit into this world. Help me to lay aside every habit that hinders my walk with You. Give me the grace to pursue true holiness, not out of legalism, but out of a deep love and reverence for You.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Set Apart: Living a Life Sanctified for God's Purpose

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 6:17 -"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."

In the Bible, the word for holy fundamentally means "to separate" or "to be set apart". It means you are distinct and wholly dedicated to God. For Christians, separation isn't about building a wall to isolate yourself from people, nor is it about adopting an attitude of self-righteousness. Instead, it is a deliberate choice to shift your affection away from the corrupting influences of the world and redirect it toward God's goodness.

However, daily holiness is a progressive journey. It means evaluating your habits, speech, and entertainment, and letting go of things that distance you from Christ's character. Your separation from worldly compromise is always meant to lead to a deeper separation unto God's perfect will and love.

Are there areas in your life (like media consumption, relationships, or thought patterns) where you are blending in with the world rather than standing out for Christ?

The New Birth - John 3:1-7; Acts 2:38

06/12/2026

As a part of a our current series "From Pew to Discipleship"

Friday: The Divine Paradox

Scripture Focus: Luke 9:24-25 & 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
The Big Idea: If you spend your life trying to save it-protecting your pride, chasing worldly trends, and running from the cross-you will lose it. But if you lose your life for His sake, you find real, eternal purpose.

Cultural Context: The world promises fulfillment through accumulation and self-preservation. God promises fulfillment through absolute surrender.
Devotional Reflection: As this week closes, where is my focus? Am I building a temporary empire for myself, or am I building the unshakeable Kingdom of God? What joy and peace have I found by letting go of my own control?

Action Step: Take 15 minutes tonight in quiet prayer to look back on your week. Give Him thanks for the victories, repent for the moments of compromise, and expectantly anticipate how He will use you this coming weekend.

On Monday we started a series “From Pew to Discipleship”, teaching and encouraging people to graduate from being a church-goer to a true follower of Jesus Christ

THURSDAY: Walking the Narrow Road

Scripture Focus: John 10:27 & Matthew 7:13-14

The Big Idea: You cannot follow Jesus while holding onto your own self-will. True discipleship means going where He goes, loving what He loves, and separating ourselves from the toxic systems of this world.

Cultural Context: The culture pressures us to compromise and blend into the darkness to avoid being canceled or criticized. True followers stand out as uncompromised light.

Devotional Reflection: Am I trying to negotiate terms with God? Am I trying to follow Him to Heaven while still walking in the paths of Egypt? A life fully surrendered to the Holy Ghost leaves no room for cultural compromise.

Action Step: Evaluate your close circles, media consumption, and speech today. Ask the Holy Ghost to point out any area where you have drifted away from following His direct footsteps.
