✨ Christmas Eve: A Time for Communion & Quiet Reflection ✨

On Wednesday, December 24, from 4:00–6:00 PM, our church will be open for a simple, peaceful Christmas Eve experience.

This is a time set aside for communion, prayer, and quiet reflection as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christ’s birth. There will be no formal service—just a sacred space to pause, breathe, and remember the gift of Emmanuel, God with us.

✨ Come and go as you please
✨ Stay for a few moments or linger longer
✨ All are welcome

If the busyness of the season has been heavy, we invite you to step away and spend a few quiet moments in God’s presence.

Central Barren UMC, is collecting food to help families during the holidays.

You can sponsor a family’s meal by bringing a bag or box with the following items:
• Green beans (4 cans)
• Corn (3 cans)
• Instant potatoes (1 box)
• Mac and cheese (2 boxes)
• Cake mix, cookie mix, or brownie mix (1 package)
• Bottle of oil (1)

If sponsoring more than one family, please separate the items into distinct bags or boxes for each family. The donations of these items will accompany a donated ham.

Please deliver the donations to Central Barren UMC by Sunday, November 30th. The goal is to assist 35 families with this food drive.

This effort helps Morgan Elementary School families have a complete meal during the season.

🍗 Chicken Dinner at Central Barren UMC – Saturday, July 26th at 4:30 PM! 🍰

Come enjoy a delicious community dinner at Central Barren United Methodist Church! Starting at 4:00 PM, we're serving up a full plate of chicken, a wide selection of sides and desserts, and plenty of good conversation.

Whether you dine in with us or carry out, it's just $14 a plate, and everyone is welcome—no reservations needed, just show up hungry and bring a friend!

Join Us for a Good Friday Service of Tenebrae

Central Barren United Methodist Church

Experience the power and stillness of the cross through scripture, reflection, music, and candlelight. The Service of Tenebrae, also known as the Service of Shadows, walks us through the final hours of Jesus' life, with each candle extinguished drawing us deeper into the mystery of His sacrifice.

This is a quiet, contemplative service. All are welcome to come, reflect, and remember.
