The Cross symbolizes Jesus Christ’s victory over sin and death through His crucifixion and resurrection.

Let us look to the Cross today and remember that love wins! ✝️❤️

This Patriot Day, we remember everyone we lost on 9/11, twenty-five years ago.

We pray for all the 2,977 people who lost their lives and their families, friends, and loved ones. God, watch over them. Guide those who continue to grieve to this day. Let us all be still and know Your Love. Grant us peace throughout our country and our world. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Tomorrow marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11. To honor the occasion, Salesian News is rerunning a powerful reflection by Fr. John Nazzaro, updated for this milestone anniversary.

“Even though 25 years have passed since 9/11, the days that followed that dreaded day still linger in my mind, heart, and soul,” Fr. John wrote. “As time passes, we sometimes forget the loss of innocent lives and the courageous first responders, who sacrificed so much with pride, dignity, and patriotism. It is special to me because I shared being a chaplain at Ground Zero with my classmate, my best friend, and my brother, Fr. Jim Marra.”

Happy Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Let’s remember how God always hears and answers our prayers in His Timing.

Anna and Joachim longed to be parents. They never gave up on their dream or lost their faith, even as they aged. God rewarded their patience by not only giving them a child, but also by having them be His Son’s grandparents through their daughter, Mary.

If you are in your season of waiting, think of Sts. Anna and Joachim. Have faith and take courage, for God hears you, and He loves you. And His reward will be greater than what you could ever possibly imagine.

We give thanks for our workers and laborers, and pray for them and the unemployed and those lost through the intercession of St. Joseph the Worker. May they feel valued, appreciated, and respected on their career and vocational journeys.

Good news from Ecuador! 🇪🇨✨

Bro. Nicholas Jandernoa recently joined about 70 volunteers in the Sierra region for their training and special envió (sending Mass) at the Agronómico Salesiano de Paute.

"I was fortunate to be with them during the few days of training and at the Mass," Bro. Nicholas beamed.

Bro. Nicholas is currently spending a year in Ecuador taking an intensive Spanish course. Please join us in praying for him and all of our men in formation! 🙏💙
