ddress the temporal needs of the kingdom at hand, along with the spiritual needs of the kingdom to come. James' pastor, the Rev. Phillips was assigned to serve the church in November 2019, after having served as pastor of Greater Allen Chapel (Baton Rouge, LA), Mary Springhill (Shreveport,LA) Ebenezer ( Benton, MS) and Lewis Chapel (Buckatunna, MS) Dr. Phillips is a graduate of Wiley College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business he also earned his MDiv from Payne Theological Seminary and continued his academic career at Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology earning his doctorate degree in ministry. A pastoring career spanning over 20 years Dr. Phillips has dedicated his life to ministry and serves on many boards within the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Dr. Phillips mantra is “Love God, Love the People and Do the Work.”
