I’m reading Relentless by , and this statement jumped off the page!

Talent gives you potential. Discipline develops your potential. But CONTINUOUS LEARNING expands your potential!

Michael Jordan didn’t become great simply because he was gifted. He studied, practiced, repeated, and refined his skills until excellence became instinct!

Proverbs 1:5 says, “Let the wise listen and add to their learning.”

Here’s what I’ve discovered:

The more you learn, the more you realize how much more there is to learn!

Your next level may not require a NEW gift. It may require NEW knowledge about the gift you already have!

Stay hungry. Stay curious. Stay teachable.

NEVER BECOME SO GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO THAT YOU STOP LEARNING HOW TO DO IT BETTER!

Some sermons you HEAR. Others you FEEL because you know what it COST the preacher to stand there! ❤️

Yesterday, I watched Fran M. Love and I daughter preach “The Sound That Saved Me!” And I fought back tears because I KNOW HER STORY!

I’ve watched her experience incredible opportunities, painful disappointments, postpartum struggles, and seasons that tested everything she believed. I’ve watched her fight for her peace, her faith, and her future!

But yesterday, I didn’t see a little girl who needed her daddy. I saw a STRONG WOMAN OF GOD who knows who she is and WHOSE she is!

Today, we celebrate her elevation to ELDER !

She’s a beautiful mother of twin girls who faithfully carries our Saturday morning prayer experience with an extraordinary balance of HOLY GHOST POWER and genuine HUMILITY!

As a father of three daughters and grandfather of two granddaughters, my heart is FULL!

Joy, I’m proud of your gifts, but even more proud of the WOMAN you’ve become!

The SOUND that carried you through is now giving somebody else the strength to KEEP GOING!

One grateful GIRL DAD! ❤️

Here is a picture of RESTORATION.

I was 275 pounds and thought I was healthy.

I was working out all the time. I was strong. I was active.

But my eating was bad—and I didn’t know how much it was affecting me.

I wasn’t just OVERWEIGHT.

As I like to say, I was OVER-WASTE.

Too much waste. Too much excess. Too much of what my body did not need.

But look at me now.

275 THEN.

190 NOW.

And at 61 years old, I feel better than I did at 31!

More energy.
More clarity.
More discipline.
And a completely different relationship with food and my body.

I’ve been saying it throughout this series:
