Dear St. Pius X Men's Club Members,
Before I begin, I'd like to briefly introduce myself. My name is Timothy Clements, and I have been blessed to serve our parish in a variety of ways over the years. Many of you know me through Scouting, where I have had the privilege of serving the youth and families of St. Pius X. Others know me from my involvement with the Men's Club or from chairing Fall Fest, one of the many events that brings our parish community together. Each of these experiences has reinforced the same lesson: when people generously give of their time and talents, amazing things happen. It is an honor to serve as your Men's Club President, and I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue to strengthen our parish through faith, fellowship, and service.
As President, my goal isn't to ask a few men to do more—it's to invite every man to do a little. When each of us contributes in whatever way we can, our parish becomes stronger, our ministries thrive, and the burden never falls on just a handful of volunteers.
As we begin another exciting year together, I want to thank each of you for being part of the St. Pius X Men's Club. Whether you've been a member for years or are just getting involved, you are an important part of what makes this organization such a valuable ministry for our parish.
This year is filled with opportunities to grow in faith, build friendships, serve our parish, and have a great time doing it. We have an outstanding calendar of events planned, and I truly believe there is something for everyone. From community service and family events to fundraisers and social gatherings, every event strengthens our parish community and reminds us that we accomplish far more together than we ever could alone.
Our annual events include Day of Service, the Golf Tournament, the Haunted House, Crawfish Cookoff, Fishing Rodeo, Volleyball Clinics, and Basketball Clinics. Each one offers a different way to get involved, and each one helps strengthen our parish community.
As President, I have one simple challenge for every member this year:
Just do two.
That's it. Just do two.
In addition to joining us for our monthly meetings, I ask every member to commit to participating in at least two Men's Club events during the year. Whether you're volunteering at a Day of Service, bringing your family to City Park Night, playing in the Golf Tournament, helping with the Haunted House, cooking at the Crawfish Cookoff, casting a line in the Fishing Rodeo, coaching at one of our youth clinics, or simply lending a hand wherever it's needed, your participation makes a difference.
Imagine the impact if every member embraced this simple commitment. Our events would be better staffed, our workload would be shared more evenly, and we'd create even more opportunities to serve St. Pius X while building lasting friendships with one another.
I encourage you to look over this year's calendar and pick the two events that fit your schedule. Mark them now, invite another member to join you, and make the commitment.
Our very first opportunity is our Day of Service on August 8, when we'll come together to beautify our campus before students return for the school year. It's a great way to kick off the year, meet other members, and make an immediate impact.
I'm excited about what God has in store for our Men's Club this year, and I look forward to serving alongside each of you. Thank you for your continued support, your generosity, and your willingness to make St. Pius X an even stronger parish community.
Let's make this our best year yet.
May God bless you and your families.
Sincerely,
Timothy Clements
President
