We had the opportunity to speak with Takudzwa Mabvuta, one of the leaders of the Student National Medical Association at Tulane University School of Medicine, during our Health Fair and Community Outreach.

As we reflect on the power of the cross, we remember that He bore our pain and our shame.

Join us tomorrow as we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior and give thanks to God for the gift of His Son. It is also our Thanksgiving Service, come with a heart full of gratitude.

He is risen. Jesus paid it all.

His pain, our gain.

He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on Him,
and by His wounds, we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

Today we remember the cost.
The suffering. The sacrifice. The love poured out on the cross.

He took what we deserved,
so we could receive what we never earned — grace, healing, and peace.

Let us not take it lightly.
Let us live in the fullness of what His sacrifice made available.
