U.S. 70 Improvements in James City - Traffic Alert



Starting tonight, Wednesday, May 20, W Thurman Road will be closed between U.S. 70 Eastbound and the railroad track for road construction nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Friday, May 22. During this time, right turns from U.S. 70 Eastbound and left turns from U.S. 70 Westbound onto W Thurman Road will be prohibited. Traffic on W Thurman Road will not be able to access U.S. 70 at this location.

To access W Thurman Road from U.S. 70 Eastbound, drivers will be detoured to Taberna Way and the U.S. 70 Eastbound service road. From U.S. 70 Westbound, drivers will be detoured to W Camp Kiro Road and Waterscape Way. Traffic exiting W Thurman Road toward U.S. 70 will follow the same detour routes in reverse, depending on direction of travel.
