Forest Park Presbyterian Church U.S.A. (New Berlin, WI) Join us for Sunday Service at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to worship with us, join us for fellowship and participate in our activities.

The hope of Forest Park Presbyterian Church is to be a vibrant, thriving, and model member of our community. In an era where people in our community and nation are naturally self-serving, we strive to be an economically, politically, and generationally diverse community while still holding true to the central tenets of Christianity as expressed by the Presbyterian Church (USA). We believe that God uses this diversity to guide us as we strive to live out our Mission Statement. We recognize that the world is changing around the church in profound ways and in order to stay relevant in an increasingly cynical society we must embrace change rather than isolate ourselves from society. We understand that change is difficult, but firmly believe that through prayer and conversation, we will find ways to engage our community and encourage others to join us in our journey with Christ. We strive to live our vision through various events supporting local, national, and international causes. We continue to engage the community in efforts to alleviate suffering and by participating in various mission projects of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Worship plays a central role in the life of the congregation and we keep our services lively and engaging with a variety of music, occasional multi-media presentations, and humor.

LOUISVILLE — Members of the National Response Team (NRT) from Presbyterian Disaster Assistance have been deployed to Winnebago Presbytery, following an EF-3 tornado that ripped off roofs, flattened homes, toppled trees and flipped automobiles in Northeast Wisconsin.

PDA is responding to the destructive tornado that impacted Winnebago Presbytery on Monday afternoon. National Response Team members will be deployed later this week. For locals wanting to volunteer and not needing overnight accommodations, connect with Volunteer Fox Cities for volunteer opportunities and donation needs.

Please join us in praying for our siblings in Winnebago Presbytery.

Information from the First Presbyterian Church of Neenah about how to help in the aftermath of the tornado.

We are in the initial stage of assisting members and our community in the aftermath of the Tornado. The devastation is extensive. As roads become accessible and needs are assessed, we will learn about volunteer opportunities, but for now, this is what we can do:

1. We have a donation link to give through FPCN. The organizations working through this disaster need money more than anything else right now. All funds received will be used to support clean-up efforts in the Fox Valley. You may also write a check to the church, and we will pass a collection plate on Sunday. The link to give online is here: https://secure.myvanco.com/L-Z4TJ/campaign/C-16CW9
2. We have opted to forgo collecting items and are focusing our efforts on financial contributions to the relief effort. This is after we received trusted advice from area non-profit leaders who tell us that funds will be put to quicker, more efficient use in impacted neighborhoods.
3. We have been in contact with members we know who live in affected areas. Everyone is safe. There will be a lot of clean-up and repairs. Please call and let us know if you are affected so we can pray with you and help as needed.
4. Please continue checking on your neighbors and friends. This is a highly stressful experience, and listening matters. Let people talk, cry, and express their emotions. Remind yourself that everyone processes stress differently. Offer grace. Don’t try to solve things unless they ask; simply listen and let them know you are there.
5. We have reached out to offer our sanctuary to congregations impacted. Please know that Sunday will be an opportunity to gather and pray.

We will work closely with our partner organizations, the Winnebago County Emergency Management and the American Red Cross, and follow their directions for assistance. As soon as we have a request for volunteers, we will pass the information along.

Remember, out of chaos comes hope.

We will get through this together. Kim and Gina
