LOUISVILLE — In the wake of severe flooding last month in central Indiana, Whitewater Valley Presbytery, local congregations and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance have lived into the phrase, “It's not about our buildings; it's about our neighbors.”

We are celebrating the partnership between Savanah Smiles Youth Services and Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church. As they they appreciate us for sharing our space, we appreciate them for their work with children at risk.

Hello Friends,

The cooling station will be open Sunday, August 30 and Monday, August 31, which are the final days of the cooling station.

You may remember that the cooling station season was June 1 - August 31. For the season, we have been open 40 days (including next Sunday and Monday), and we have welcome 71 guests (excluding the number of people that will show up next week). Thank you for your support and care to make the cooling station possible this summer.

We know that there will be some hot days in September, so we will direct people to the library for a place to rest and the resources of their food panty. We are also thankful of our partnership with Hope Southern Indiana who offers care and resources as well. And soon we will welcome the fall season and prepare for the upcoming White Flag Shelter season.
