Second Baptist Church promises to be a home base for you to start your relationship with Christ and your spiritual growth journey. We'll help you grow spiritually through the preaching of God's Word.

You still have time to join us for a tour today!

Celebrate Juneteenth with a tour of the historic Underground Railroad Town Clock Church on Saturday, June 13th, 10AM-3PM. Then join Second Baptist congregation for a Juneteenth Musical Celebration, Friday June 19, 2026, 6:30p.m.
Artists include Troy Bell and Company, Poet Sidnea Hearn, and other musicians. Second Baptist church, 300 E. Main Street in New Albany. Free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.

Tours of the historic Underground Railroad Town Clock Church will be this Saturday, June 13th, beginning at 10 AM with the last tour starting at 3:00 PM. These tours are part of our Juneteenth celebration at Second Baptist Church at 300 East Main St. in New Albany. Come join us to hear the story of the Underground Railroad as a congregation that defied the Fugitive Slave act of 1850 to help those escaping slavery through our metro area. Tours are free and open to the public. Donations are welcome to help us with our handicap accessibility grant fundraising match from Indiana Landmarks.

Yesterday was an amazing day at Second Baptist Church. It has been 41 years since we have had ordained deacons in our church, but praise be to God on yesterday 2 incredible men were ordained- Deacon Chancea Roberts and Deacon Demetric Goode. We’re very grateful and proud of them both. Please keep our Deacons, their families and our church family in your prayers!

Today we had a wonderful celebration to honor and thank some amazing men in our community and Second Baptist Church-New Albany congregation who have paved the way for so many others. Mr. Jerrol Miles, Mr. Shawn Carruthers, Bro. Chancea Roberts, Bro. James Wilkerson, Bro. Raymond Caldwell and Deacon Frederick Douglas we thank you for your leadership and dedication to our community.
