Dear Brothers and Sisters,

You are each invited to An Evening of Sacred Music on Sunday, Jan 25, at 6:30pm in the Stake Center in Neenah, Wi (please see the attached flyer for details).

Denni Miller and Becky Ockey are members of our Stake. Katherine Merryman is a dear friend of Denni and has kindly offered to provide this musical evening.

Light refreshments will follow. Please see below for Katherine's Bio and a sampling of the beautiful music we will be blessed to hear.

Bio:
Trained in the U.S. and Europe, lyric soprano Katherine Merryman’s background is in operatic voice, classical piano, and foreign language. She has sung with Center Stage Opera (PA), Capitol Opera Harrisburg (PA), and the Victorian Lyric Opera Company (MD).

An active concert vocalist, she curates her own concert dramas, serves as an accompanist and vocalist at local churches, and performs at numerous annual events. Mrs. Merryman is the founder and President of The Catalyst Crescendo Concert Series, Inc. She also independently released “Frauenliebe und Leben, Op. 42” (R. Schumann) in 2023.

Happy New Year! As we reflect on 2025 and recognize the hand of God in all parts of our lives and welcome the great opportunities of this new year to learn, grow, and increase in our abilities to love and be loved, may we remember this year’s Appleton Wisconsin Stake vision: “We will walk with Jesus Christ, becoming lifelong disciples of Him.”

May you further “begin to exercise your faith unto repentance” in 2026 as you intentionally walk with the Son of God, “who is full of grace, equity, and truth.” (Alma 34:17 and Alma 13:9 The Book of Mormon – Another Testament of Jesus Christ)

I'm happy to announce that the Appleton & Green Bay Stakes will be hosting a multi-Stake Organ Workshop put on through BYU Organ Travelling Workshops on Friday & Saturday, October 10th & 11th. These events are free and open to the public, so please sign up if you are interested. And please bring a friend! The events will be hosted at the Neenah Chapel at 115 Castle Oak Drive, Neenah, WI 54956.

The 2-day workshop will include an Organ concert on Friday evening as well as some Organ classes/workshops on Saturday morning/early afternoon. This workshop is designed to enhance our understanding and appreciation for the Organ. Youth and Adults are welcome to attend, the registration suggests children should be at least 8 years old to participate.

Beloved Sisters and Brothers,

With faith in Christ, will you join with me, Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission President David C. Hansen, and the full-time proselyting missionaries in making this May the Month of Miracles?

Specifically I invite you to join us this month in asking our Heavenly Father in prayer if each companionship of elders and sister missionaries throughout the Appleton Wisconsin Stake may be blessed to participate in one of His great miracles, seeing a child of God be baptized this month that they have taught.

I also invite you to prayerfully seek for ways that you can help with this miracle. Understanding and ministering to needs better, testifying of the Lord and His temple while participating in missionary lessons with friends, welcoming friends to church worship services and activities, and helping with rides are just some of many ways to help.

I testify if we do this in faith, we will see a month of miracles, finding those who were lost by the gift of Christ, the Good Shepherd who leads us safely home.

Thank you for your faith in Christ.
