Saturday morning, May 16, 2026. Sitting in my recliner looking out thru the storm door and watching hummingbirds come to the feeder in the backyard for breakfast this mid spring morning. God’s creation is beautiful.

People, God’s ultimate creation, created in His image, need food also. Not just physical but food for the soul. It’s needed daily. Take time to talk with God, listen for His voice and spend time with others doing the same.

Start your week tomorrow gathering with others at a church in your area. There’s a small country church in the New Lois community of Nashville, GA doors will be open 9:45am each Sunday. Join us for family time with God.

May we take time it just tomorrow but each day to say ‘thank you’ to the ladies in your life. Mothers, grandmothers, aunts…and the many other ladies who have loved you, encouraged you and been there for you.

Christ refers to the church as His bride and as a mother to the body of Christ. Take time tomorrow to go to church somewhere in your community.

Join our community this Thursday, May 7, on the courthouse steps for the annual National Day of Prayer at noon. The 2026 theme is ‘Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations’ based on 1 Chronicles 16:24.

This is the 75th annual observance and the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, prayer focuses on national repentance, spiritual awakening and multigenerational revival across the seven centers of influence.

Grateful for this much needed rain. It can be so very easy to take God’s blessings for granted. Sometimes we need a reminder, such as a time the blessing is delayed or withheld for a period.

That said may we be quick with gratitude, slower to complain and ready to stand in the gap when prayer is needed…which is always.
