Hello Front Porch Church family and friends. Today we welcome back Danielle Schaeffer to give us the 2nd message in our series “A Complete Guide to Honest Prayers” from the book of Psalms. Danielle will be sharing the kind of prayer that most of us have never been taught.

We live in a world that glorifies happiness, the right filter, the right version of yourself posted for the world to see. But what happens when life stops cooperating? We lament.

Join us immediately following the service for our very first picnic. We will introduce everyone to our board members and have the chance for some good conversations about Front Porch Church moving forward. The picnic starts at 5:30pm. Please bring a dish to pass. Tables and chairs will be set up on the sidewalk out front. Hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided.

Last night S4E20, we kicked off our new series in the book of Psalms and looked at “Praise” Psalms. Praise Psalms are when we lift our eyes off our own story and orient ourselves toward God, giving Him ALL the praise and ALL the glory. God is the One holding our story together. Praise is our native language, the one we were created to speak. Let us make the choice to extol God. I encourage you to read Psalms 145.

Megan and Justin Elder got us thinking of words that describe God and what He has done, and collectively, we made a word cloud right during our service. Then, they took the word cloud and created The Front Porch Psalm, which we all recited. At the end of our service, we were given stickers of our Psalm to take home and remind us of God’s greatness. God is so so good.

I hope you will come and join us next week for week 2 in our series. To God be the glory, now and forever, now and forever AMEN.

Hello Front Porch Church family and friends. Today we are kicking off a new series in Psalms, and Justin and Megan will be teaching.

Most prayers start with us.…..Our needs. Our worries. Our wish list.

And don't get me wrong: God cares about our needs, our worries, and probably at least a few items on our wish list.
But this Sunday, we are exploring a different kind of prayer. It’s one that starts with God and stays there.

We will be gathering in the theater today Community Christian Church Naperville Yellow Box (1635 Emerson Lane, Naperville) at 4:30pm. Invite a friend and see you soon.

Hello Front Porch Church family and friends. The Bible tells a unified story: God has a mission. Front Porch Church (a community of people, on mission together, where Jesus is King) exists to continue God’s mission.

John 20:21
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”

Our series for the past two months “Find your place in God’s Mission” has centered on the idea that the Bible is not a collection of disconnected writings. The Bible is one story. It is the story of God’s relationship with His creation. God is on a mission—to be known by all and have a personal relationship with His creation, and YOU have a place in His mission.

God stands ready to offer you a deeper meaning and a clearer purpose for your life. Are you AVAILABLE to receive that spiritual calling and step into God’s Mission. Join us this coming Sunday, June 7th at 4:30pm as we start a new series “The Psalms: A Complete Guide to Honest Prayer”. We will be gathering in the theater at the Yellow Box church (1635 Emerson Lane, Naperville). All are welcome, so invite a friend to join you.

Hello Front Porch Church family and friends. Today, we will hear from our dear friend Samantha as we continue our series “Find your place in God’s mission”. We will be gathering at the Yellow Box gym later today at 4:30pm. Look for the FPC sign out front and come on in. There are no distractions, only interactions. All are welcome.

Most of us want Jesus to make life easier—less stress, more peace, a little guidance when things get hard.
But what if Jesus came to do more than improve your life?
What if He came to completely reorder it?

Let's be honest - sometimes this is where we get self-protective. "Please fix the broken stuff, God, but maybe leave some of the other stuff alone!" We're in good company - the people who lived in Jesus' day were saying the same thing.

This Sunday, we’re exploring Jesus’ announcement that “the kingdom of God has come near” and why following Him is an invitation into an entirely new way of living.

This Memorial Day weekend, we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to others.

Praying you have a safe and meaningful weekend as we remember, reflect, and give thanks. 🇺🇸

To God be the glory, now and forever, now and forever AMEN

Good Tuesday morning Front Porch Church family and friends. As I got dressed this morning, I remembered Danielle’s message from Sunday. Thanks Danielle for teaching us about clothing ourselves with Christ.

Galatians 3:27
“for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”

"Clothed yourselves with Christ." What does that mean?

Paul's language in Galatians is striking: When you were baptized into Christ, you clothed yourself with him. You put him on. He is now what others see when they look at you.

Because it's one thing to believe in Jesus. It's another thing to wear him. Belief can stay private. What you wear is always visible. Putting on “Christ” isn't passive. It's a daily, deliberate act of reaching for the right thing.

Like Danielle showed us and we all did it together, we pretended to put on our socks, our pants and shirts while saying these words….God, help me put on Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control today.

What are you reaching for when you get dressed in the morning?
Specifically ask God to clothe you in Christ today…..Yay - God!

Hello Front Porch Church family and friends. Today, Danielle Schaeffer will continue our journey through the story of God’s mission, and her take away question is:

What does it mean to clothe myself with Jesus?

We’ll explore what it means to be clothed in the character of Christ—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control. Whether your week has felt grounded or messy, hopeful or exhausting, we think this message will meet you right where you are.

We’d love to see you later today at 4:30pm Community Christian Church Yellow Box, Naperville. We will be gathering in the theater, so please part in the back or west side parking lot.
