Don’t let opposition make you question your calling.

If God has given you an assignment, opposition does not mean you’re on the wrong path. It means you need to stand firm in what God has said.

You have the Word of God. You have the power of the Holy Spirit. You have everything you need to stand your ground and fulfill your divine assignment.

In many of my messages, I’ve taught that we must fill our hearts with God’s Word and then act like it is true in our lives. However, for many people, sickness and disease seem to linger for far longer than it should. What do we do in a case like this? We must seek the Lord and listen for His direction regarding our individual situation.

Over the centuries, one of the things that has set the Church apart from the world is divine healing. Healing took place during the ministry of Jesus and was commonplace in the early Church.

For several centuries, however, the revelation that God wants His people well was almost completely lost. Even after the healing revival of the 1940’s and 50’s, many people were still in the dark, not knowing that healing is the children’s bread.

The devil has something to do with this. He doesn’t want people to receive divine healing, because it releases them from his grip on their lives. He tries every strategy to keep people from knowing that healing belongs to them, or to keep those who do know about healing from receiving it. I was in the first category, being raised in a denominational church that never taught divine healing. I didn’t ever hear of anybody being healed.

One day that all changed. While I was in college, a close cousin shared with me that he had found a church where people were being healed! Curious to see for myself, I attended a service with him and saw that people really were getting healed. This was a dream come true for me.
