The Muscatine Church of Christ welcomes family and friends to the funeral service for Teresa Louise Pirtle, who passed away on May 19, 2026, at the age of 69.

Teresa's family has chosen to remember her with honesty, grace, and faith — holding both grief and love together. Hers was a life that mattered, and her family carries it forward in reflection, sorrow, and the hope that God brings healing where life could not.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Glasgow; her father, Jack Church; and her sister, Linda. She is survived by her children, Christopher (Natalie), Sara, and Lexi; her grandchildren, Logan, Nathan, Ethan, Ryan, Makenzie, Taylor, and Gage; her great-grandchildren, Zoey and Milo; her brothers, John and Doug; and her sisters, Julie, Lori, and Leslie.

The family asks for continued prayers as they mourn, heal, and lean on the comfort and strength of the Lord during this difficult time.

Title is "Can You See Me?" and it's one of those sermons where you squirm a little. Why do we do the good things we do? Is it for God, or is it so people notice?

He'll walk through the story of Ananias and Sapphira, bring in Dallas Willard on why Jesus invented the concept of the hypocrite (it literally meant actor), and land on a question worth sitting with all week: who is your audience?

Your giving — time, money, energy, whatever — should be for an audience of one.

Senior Sunday this morning. No sermon — today's about our graduating seniors.

Each one is getting recognized and receiving a Bible they picked out themselves to take with them into whatever's next. It's a small thing and a big thing at the same time.
