LOVING YOURSELF AS GOD LOVES YOU
Jesus gave us two Commandments… One: “love God with all your heart.“ Number two: “love your neighbor AS yourself.“ Your “neighbor“ is your husband, wife, children, coworkers, church members, business dealings, and your neighborhood. Actually, your “neighbor,“ is anybody you come in contact with. The point is… Only as you love, accept and forgive yourself, will you have the spiritual capacity to love, accept and forgive others. The “point of departure“ for loving others is to first love, accept and forgive yourself as God loves, accepts and forgives you. That’s why Jesus says “love your neighbor AS yourself. “It is very difficult to love others until you have received God‘s love for you. Here’s the principle…Once you can receive and accept God‘s love, acceptance, and forgiveness for you, …you will be free to let God‘s love, acceptance and forgiveness flow in and through you to others. Here is what Jesus said… “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another AS I have loved you… Therefore love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples if you love one another AS I have loved you.“ John 13:34–35.

REALIZING JESUS DID IT ALL FOR YOU
In most Christian circles, the week that proceeds Easter is called Holy Week. The purpose of holy week is to remember Jesus, and the incredible price He paid for our salvation and freedom. Here is a very brief summary of what He went through for you and me.…
He was betrayed by his friend, Judas. His close followers deserted him. He was sold to the authorities for 30 pieces of silver. He was accused by false witnesses. He was mocked, beaten, and spat upon. He felt forsaken by God, His Father. He was buried in a borrowed tomb. Everything Jesus went through He did for you and me. He came to this earth, walked among us, healed, and delivered people from sickness and demon possession, destroyed the power of Satan over our lives, was crucified, buried and rose again…all in a tangible expression of His love for each one of us. Everything Jesus went through was shouting out… “I love you, I love you, I love you,! So during this holy week leading up to Easter, let’s make a conscious effort to remember Jesus and how much Jesus loves us. Jesus gave His life for you, so he could give his life to you, so he could live his life in and through you! That’s the good news about the gospel of Jesus and the good news of holy week… He did it all for you. Here is God‘s motivation for giving us Jesus… “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever would believe in him, would not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

Good news, church family! We have finally found someone who will clear our parking lot so we will be able to hopefully safely park and walk into church this Sunday. We will have Sunday school and church at the regular times. I am looking forward to seeing all of you all and worshiping together. Pastor Gary.

😀😃😂😳🤨🧐🤔😠😡🤬😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀🙏🙏🙏🙏
As I look on in amused amazement at all the AI wonders showing up on my phone these days, showing realistic images of Philosophers that look like talking Apes, household Pets that share their thoughts about their masters and enhanced images of familiar People sharing their mental mirror images of themselves, I start to ponder 🤔.
Is this the beginning of a whole new world or is it the end of reality?
Will we ever be able to know the truth again ?

Daily, we are bombarded by opinion bending stories that tell us why one side is better than the other. Intense arguments of different opinions that cannot be resolved without physical fight responses because the opposing sides don’t know the same truth.

So they must be f@&ki&_g IDIOTS. Right?
I mean if they don’t listen and believe my side, then they must be idiots.
Therefore they can’t share my world and need to be removed from it. So be it, come join my side or die.
WOW is this how wars start?

World War Two took the lives of 70-85 million from the face of the earth. That war ended in 1945, not so very long ago. Ended by the truth made clear by right or was it ended by might?

Like most significant history, difference in truth aka: beliefs have created massacres by allowing ourselves to see only our differences when passing judgment upon others.
The AI technology is creating myth so real, so very real that if left to stand alone, it’s the only truth.
My only peace is in knowing that the only real truth we have is the Truth of the Bible. The word of God has never and will never change.

GETTING BACK TO THE BASICS
It really doesn’t matter whether it’s at the beginning of a new sports season, musical concerts,or reviewing basics in our school curriculum… It all begins with “getting back to the basics.“ The “basics“ lay the foundation for everything we think or do and how we build our lives. The “basics” lay the foundation for success and fulfillment in every area of our lives. One of my favorite stories is… One of the best award winning coaches would start off every football season with his team in the locker room and would hold up a football. They would all laugh, and then he began to ask the questions… What do you do with this?…and of course they would have to answer… we run with it, we kick with it, we make points with it. He would then ask the next question what don’t you do with this? Once again, they would have to answer …drop it, fumble, let the other team get it and win. The great coaches and musicians realize that it’s always good to “get back to the basics.“ Here’s the point …it applies to our spiritual lives also. Just when you think you know all there is to know, you’ve got it all together and figured out, you’ve answered all the questions and solved all the problems… God surprises you, and here we go again… Back to the basics,..Back to living by faith… Back to trusting him to help us make the right choices. This year, let’s get back to the basics . Solomon, credited to be one of the wisest men who ever lived, helped us get back to the basics when he said…. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not onto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6.
