First United Methodist Church is growing disciples of Jesus Christ who know Him, love Him, serve Him, & share Him.

October was full of opportunities to put our faith into action and share Christ’s love throughout our community! From organizing at Stepping Stones and building a wheelchair ramp to a Confirmation Class service project and the Rutherford Thrives Fall Festival at Murfreesboro Cold Patrol, our church family showed up to serve our neighbors in meaningful ways.

🎃🍬 What a fun afternoon at Trunk or Treat! Sunday was filled with games, candy, a hayride, and even a chance to pie the pastor!

Sunday was a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness as we celebrated paying off our church mortgage! From walking together from our old church home to our new one to ringing the bell and worshiping together, every moment was filled with gratitude and joy. What a blessing to celebrate how far God has brought us and look forward to all that’s ahead!

More moments from an incredible Serves Sunday!

Our volunteers were busy serving all across our community—from working at Nourish Food Bank and Wesley Foundation to serving with Atlas, tackling landscaping projects, and even building a wheelchair ramp.

Every project was an opportunity to put faith into action and share the love of Christ through serving others. What a beautiful reminder that ministry is something we do together!

What a joy to look back on Serves Sunday! Hundreds of volunteers gathered after one worship service at 8:30 a.m. and headed out to serve through 20+ opportunities at FUMC, Fellowship UMC, and throughout our community.

From making flower arrangements and baking cookies to labeling books for Project Transformation, packing food, and so much more, you showed what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Thank you to everyone who served, donated, prayed, and helped make Serves Sunday possible! Together, we are living faithfully and making a difference in our community. 🙌
