FUMC Kids wrapped up the school year with an unforgettable pool party.

Many of you know that our Director of Children’s Ministry, Mrs. Rhonda Miles, was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments. During the party, several people bravely shaved their heads in honor of Mrs. Rhonda as a sign that she does not walk this journey alone. Special shirts were also made to encourage her through this season. It was a moving night full of love, community, and support for someone who has poured so much into the lives of our children.

Please continue to keep Mrs. Rhonda in your prayers.

After months of planning, fundraising, and renovation, our youth gathered for their first Sunday evening in the new space on May 17! Staff joined them for dinner and worship as we celebrated all that God has done and looked ahead to the ways this space will support the mission of FUMC — growing disciples of Jesus Christ. We are grateful for everyone who helped make this vision a reality.

After nearly three years with FUMC, Organist Austin Wessel and his family have made the decision to return to Orlando, Florida. His last day in the 10:45 traditional worship service will be Sunday, May 31. We will recognize him that day and send him off with lots of love and prayers!

Senior Sunday was a beautiful and emotional day in the life of our church family. We loved seeing our seniors share their boards, celebrate with church members after worship, and reflect on the journey that has brought them to this milestone.
That evening’s foot washing ceremony was a powerful reminder of love, humility, and the prayers surrounding these students as they step into the next chapter of life. We are so proud of each of our seniors and can’t wait to see how God leads them in the future.
