We came together this weekend to celebrate Communion and learn about Nehemiah who, when faced with a choice to step in and ask to help or to let it go like so many others, prayed for strength to make a request of the king. And not only was his request heard, but it was granted.

How many of us over the last few weeks prayed for someone to step in and help? How many of us prayed for the resolve to continue to help and move forward, even though we were weary and tired and afraid of what it would cost us?

Wednesday night was a reminder of why we worship!
