Sunday, May 3, 2026 - Sunday Morning AM -

Are you fighting battles in your own strength? This week we discovered a powerful truth: the battle belongs to the Lord.

When King Hezekiah faced an intimidating enemy, he didn't panic or rely on human alliances. He went straight to God in prayer. And God's response? He fought supernaturally—no human army needed. One angel defeated 185,000 enemies while Hezekiah's people slept.

Here's what this means for you today: Whatever struggle you're facing—financial, relational, mental, or spiritual—God is fighting for you RIGHT NOW. But you have a part to play: get on your knees and pray. Prayer isn't symbolic; it's effective. It moves heaven. When you pray according to His will, He hears you (1 John 5:14).

Stop trying to defeat giants in your own strength. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Your victory is supernatural and God-glorifying. The enemy may speak loudly, but God speaks louder. He's got this.

When the enemy sends you a threatening letter—whether it's fear, doubt, or impossible circumstances—what do you do? King Hezekiah faced the mighty Assyrian army breathing down his neck, receiving a message that screamed: "Your God can't save you." His response? He took that letter straight to the temple and laid it before the Lord.

The enemy's voice is always loud, but it's limited. He wants you to believe defeat is inevitable, that you're alone, that God won't show up in time. But here's the truth: the battle belongs to the Lord. Not your strength. Not your resources. His.

Prayer replaces anxiety. When you bring your burdens specifically and intentionally before God—even with mustard seed faith—mountains move. You don't have to face your battles alone. Step out. Lay it at His feet. Watch Him defend what belongs to Him.

"Be not afraid or dismayed, for the battle is not yours but God's." - 2 Chronicles 20:15

Sunday AM Service - March 15, 2026 - Matthew 8:21-25 is a passage that vividly illustrates the theme of finding peace amid life's storms. In this biblical account, Jesus and His disciples are on a boat crossing the Sea of Galilee when a sudden and furious storm arises. The disciples, overwhelmed by fear, awaken Jesus, who had been peacefully sleeping, to save them from the impending danger. With calm authority, Jesus rebukes the winds and the sea, bringing about a great calm. This story serves as a powerful metaphor for life's challenges, reminding us that even in the midst of turmoil, peace is attainable through faith. By trusting in a higher power or inner strength, we can find solace and stability, just as the disciples witnessed the storm being calmed by Jesus’ presence. This narrative encourages us to seek inner tranquility and assurance, knowing that we can navigate through life's tempests with courage and confidence.

Every church reaches a moment when it must ask: Are we comfortable, or are we growing? Are we authentic, or just going through the motions? This Sunday, we explored what it truly means to live an authentic faith—one that reflects Christ both publicly and privately.

Authentic faith begins in the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). It's not about perfect appearances, but genuine devotion. It means practicing what we believe, being honest about our failures, and allowing the Holy Spirit to produce real fruit in our lives—love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness (Galatians 5:22-23). When we live authentically, we experience true freedom: "If the Spirit sets you free, you are truly free" (John 8:36).

Over the coming weeks, we'll dive deeper into three areas where authenticity matters most: our worship, our teaching, and our community. God isn't looking for masks or religious routines—He's looking for sincere hearts fully surrendered to Him. Let's be a church that lives what we believe and expands God's kingdom together.
