Why We Need One Another: Faith, Relationships, and Going

During college, I developed a love for hiking. There is something refreshing about leaving behind the noise and distractions of everyday life and following a trail through the woods. Some trails are smooth and clearly marked. Others are steep, rocky, muddy, or difficult to follow. When the path becomes difficult, having someone travel with you makes a tremendous difference. I can give you a cautionary tale about being careful who you trust while hiking that involves a new naïve hiker, a few cruel friends, 3 false peaks, and the phrase, “Look it’s the top let’s run,” that resulted in said hiker gasping on his back while looking up and more mountain to climb but alas, that will wait for another time....

Give: Everybody Has a Part

My daughter used to love to put together puzzles. She used to do them so often that I built a coffee table with a compartment to protect her puzzles from the cats. At first, a puzzle can look like nothing more than a pile of pieces. Some pieces are bright and colorful. Others just look plain. Church family, a few weeks ago, I created this blog as a way to really develop and speak to all of you about discipleship and culture. I hope you will take some time to read what has been on my heart. I plan to post a new one each week for a bit and then transition to once every 2 weeks.
