Please join us in prayer for the people of Colombia who were impacted by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake this morning, the strongest to strike the country in the last decade. At least 179 people have died, and thousands more are injured, missing, or have been displaced from their homes. As first responders and search and rescue teams uncover the devastating toll of this disaster, we pray for them and their efforts, and we mourn with those who have lost loved ones.

UMCOR stands ready to respond through support to our humanitarian and ecumenical partners in Colombia and across Latin America. We will share response updates on social media as they become available.

Our cross and flame is repaired and back in place! Earlier this spring, the trustees discovered part of the sign had begun to separate. Kurt Wallace and Jeff Fletchall took it down; Gary Sobotka repaired it for us; Jeff repainted it, and Kurt and Jeff have put it back up. Thanks to all three of them for their work!
