Day 4 of VBS 2026 brought it all together for the kids. Theme “God’s Love is Worth Sharing”. Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ”. We should never be ashamed or afraid to share the gospel: Jesus Christ came into the world to reconcile sinful man to a Holy God through His sacrifice on the cross; His burial and resurrection. Thank you for sharing your kids; thank you to all who contributed time, talents, and treasures to share the message of salvation through Jesus. Our offering raised will be divided between Mount Ayr and Diagonal schools to help families in need pay for supplies or whatever needed at school for their kids. Pastor Bill got “pied” by Brandon Still and Joe Werner as their Roman family raised the most: then they got pied by their wives! Kids learned in groups and fellowshipped over food.

Theme for day 3 for VBS 2026 is “God’s love saves us.” There are two story rooms set up to depict first century Christianity. Paul is chained to a guard and because of the “visitors” to Paul, the gruff Roman guard is about to become a Christian. The other room is the “underground church” where a Christian tells the “visitors” how faithful God is to them even in persecution. And of course there’s a group that has a turn at games outside. Romans 5:8 is our verse for today; “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
All to the glory of God.

V.B.S 2026 theme is Paul in Rome and the underground church. Theme first night was “God’s love is free” and tonight was “God’s love changes us”. In “the marketplace “ there are 8 stations set up to teach the kids first century Roman life through crafts, food and other activities. Grateful for the volunteers and praising God for the kids!

It was a great day 1 at V.B.S. 2026! Great group of kids and dedicated leaders and committees coming together to teach about God’s love for each and everyone of them. Our scripture verse for tonight was from Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ or Lord.”
