What a beautiful day serving Overlook Manor in Frederick! 🎒💙
We had the joy of returning to Overlook Manor today, this time to deliver 60 backpacks filled with school supplies to grateful kids and their families!
HOW IT CAME TOGETHER:
🎒 DRCC Local Missions donated all 60 backpacks
✏️ New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene and Waterboyz tables purchased the school supplies
📦 New Beginning Nazerene Church packed every single backpack with love
🚗 Together, we delivered them straight into the hands of families ready for the new school year
And if you remember our visit back in May, when Waterboyz planted fresh flowers for the residents here — they're blooming beautifully! It was such a joy to see the community we sowed into literally flourishing before our eyes.
This is exactly why we do what we do. It's not a one-and-done — it's about showing up, again and again, for the same neighbors and watching relationships and community grow. 🌸
Our hope is to keep coming back to Overlook Manor and continue serving this incredible community. Huge thanks to everyone who made today possible — Damascus Road Community Church, New Beginning Nazerene Church, and every volunteer who helped pack and deliver!
