Swan Valley Lutheran Church

Swan Valley Lutheran Church Swan Valley Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Worship is 11 a.m. through January 10, 2021. service through mid-July.

Special events supporting our community and sharing the gospel are held throughout the year. Worship times alternate with Maple Hill Lutheran Church. In January Swan Valley will revert to a 9 a.m. We offer children's time during worship and Sunday School. Events include a Spring and Fall community dinner, Vacation Bible School, Community yard sale, and gift baskets for shut in members and communit

y members during the holidays. Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month and a coffee/fellowship time the second Sunday of each month.

When I see a beautiful rainbow in the sky, I am reminded God's covenant is everlasting as is his love for us. In recent days I have known several people who are struggling through one trial or another. I've had my moments as well but that beautiful rainbow reminded me of the hope that is Jesus Christ and God's abundant love and grace. Join me tonight for yourself and all those in need of strength and peace:
God of the Rainbow Covenant, Let our eyes see the grace that is ours through you. Let our hearts heal from the aches, our minds be set free of the worries and concerns, our bodies restored in health and strength and our spirits resolved of fear. And as the rains of our demons and self-destruction subside let the beauty of your rainbow and the love of your Son shine upon us to renew us and keep us steadfast in faith, mindful that you are not even a moment away but always present to lift us up as on eagle's wings. For this and all things you see we need we ask in the name of your precious Son, Jesus Christ. And again we say, Amen!

Day 3 brought us two more of Jesus’ parables. Seeds sown with gusto but not much thought which caused a variety of outcomes. The other was the prodigal son story.
God cares so deeply for us, even and especially when our faith is challenged and we struggle to know and do the right things. Grace awaits us just as love surrounds us.

Can you imagine…feeding 5000+ with 5 loaves of bread and two fish? These kids had a terrific second day at the Barnyard Roundup. And almost like a miracle our staff managed to fill their tummies and their precious little souls!
