Was just alerted to this; wanted to share since we have been promoting.
It's with a heavy heart that we tell you that Ruby's Pantry alerted us this morning that they will be ceasing operations. This unfortunately means that we will not be able to host the drive thru distribution any longer.
We want to thank everyone who came out to support us rain, or shine, and often in the snow, to support us either by attending or volunteering.
We hosted this distribution for 5 years and 7 months and had planned to do so indefinitely in an effort to serve our neighbors.
Here are some highlights.
-Since our inception, over 400 individuals have helped by volunteering at our distribution.
-We have hosted a total of 67 distributions.
-Total volunteer hours in that span equals approximately 3,015 volunteer hours.
-Total average shares distributed per event were 150, so over 10,000 were provided through these efforts.
A special thank you to the Staples United Methodist Church and the students of Central Lakes College, as the Staples distribution would not have happened without them.
