Mosheim Central Church

Mosheim Central Church We are a welcoming church congregation located on Main Street in Mosheim, Tennessee. We have our annual Vacation Bible School during the summer.

We have Sunday School services at 10:00 am and Worship at 11:00 am every Sunday morning. We also have classes on Wednesday evenings during the school year for children and youth from birth to high school ages. The night begins at 6:00 pm with a meal and then classes are from 6:30 - 7:30. Also, our church is involved in many other events throughout the year such as our food booth at the Greene Coun

ty Fair and the Mosheim Community Outreach Center. We are responsible for the construction and management of the Anna Sue Ward Park located on Main Street. The pavilion is available to rent for events during the spring, fall, and summer months, and the park is open to the public all year during daylight hours. If you would like more information on the rental of the pavilion, feel free to contact us.

As we near the end of our series answering the question, “Who is Jesus?” we turn to the second-to-last book of the Bible, the epistle of Jude.

While Jude is not written to any particular body of believers, we can be certain it is written for every body of believers. A warning, a charge, and the great comfort of knowing that Christ is our sustainer are all elements that make this book as relevant today as it was nearly 2000 years ago.

Thank you to everyone who supported us last week at our food booth at the Greene County Fair! We are thankful that God allowed us the opportunity to complete another year of serving you! We are thankful to everyone who ate with us, and we hope you enjoyed it! Also, a big thanks to those who helped us work it this week! Our church family was blessed to work alongside many community volunteers in our booth, and we are thankful for their help!

It’s time for the Greene County Fair! We will back in the building serving food this upcoming week, July 20-25. We will be serving breakfast, lunch, and supper with breakfast starting around 7:00 a.m. then concluding mid-morning so we can transition to our lunch/supper menu which we will serve from late morning until late evening.
For safety reasons, you will not be able to drive up to the booth. For breakfast and lunch, until 1:00, you can park outside gate #2 (near the cattle barn) and let them know at that ticket booth that you are there to eat with us to avoid paying fair admission.

The book of Malachi is one of the most explicitly Gospel messages in the Old Testament. Throughout the book God reminds them that over and over again He has been faithful when they were undeserving. He beckons them, though they have strayed far from Him, to return to Him and He will return to them. While the condemnation is harsh, the grace and mercy are abundant.

Join us this morning as we close out our mini-series through some of the minor prophets in order to answer the question: Who is Christ?

That’s a wrap on our Emerald Crossing VBS! Thanks to everyone who helped out and participated this year!

If any church could use these decorations for their VBS, we would love to pass them along. You can contact pastor Derrick at (423) 341-5757 to schedule a time to pick up between Monday (June 15th) and Wednesday (June 17th). We will be meeting at 6:00pm Wednesday, June 17th, to finish taking down all of the decorations in the sanctuary.

Psalm 23
One of the most used, yet least studied passages of scripture in our culture, today.
How often do we quote scripture without actually studying its context?
The Psalmist makes clear from the onset that the hope of this passage is dependent upon a personal relationship with the shepherd. He is not “everyone’s shepherd.” He is “my shepherd,” according to verse 1. Not every sheep is a part of the Great Shepherd’s flock. How do you come into the fold if you’re not? If you are, how do you live in the contentment of knowing the Shepherd?

It’s a little after midnight here in Mosheim, TN. At about this time (by the clock; not to the day) some 3,000 years ago, there was much wailing in the land of Egypt. Why? Because the 10th and final plague had just taken place across the land. The firstborn of every household in the region had been killed. Every household that is, except the ones found to be covered by the blood of the sacrificial lamb.
If you’ve been following along, you know we have been studying the book of Matthew on Sunday mornings for the past 2 years. So why are talking about the Exodus and the Passover?
Because we have reached the point where Jesus poses the greatest question of all time, for which we must all give an answer, “Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15)
This Sunday, we will look at the answer to that question through the lens of the Passover. How does the Exodus lead us to Calvary?
