What happens when we get close enough to see people the way God does?
Acts 9:36β43 reminds us that the Spirit is at work when we move toward, not away from, the people our world pushes to the margins.
God refuses to see people through the categories the world uses to exclude them. Instead, God sees beloved people: worthy of dignity, belonging, justice, and love.
And if we want to glimpse what God is up to, we might start by listening to and standing alongside immigrants, single mothers, disabled people, incarcerated people and their families, LGBTQ+ people, and other marginalized neighbors.
We love when the Spirit transforms not just hearts, but our understanding of who belongs, who matters, and what justice looks like. πβ¨
