𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲!

The first meeting of the “𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲” was a big success with over 40 people in attendance! We’re still working out the regular meeting schedule, but our next meeting will be 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟲:𝟬𝟬-𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 (420 E. 2nd St., behind the 1912 Center). All are welcome. If you’re interested in activism centered on song (and possibly serving as a song/chant leader at Indivisible events) please plan to attend!

Singing Resistance - First meeting/singing session today, Wednesday, February 18 from 6:00-7:00 in the UUCP Sanctuary.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of the Palouse is forming a “Singing Resistance” group for those seeking a form of activism and resistance grounded in song and chant.

Peacekeepers Training: The Palouse Peacekeepers are a group of volunteers who ensure safety and de-escalate conflicts at events around the Palouse. You may have seen them at local protests sporting bright-yellow vests and walkie-talkies. These brave volunteers are essential for ensuring the success of local protests and political events by keeping things peaceful. If you would like to join their noble ranks, please register using the QR code in the flyer for the next Peacekeepers training session to be held Saturday, March 7 from 1:00-4:00 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Palouse. You may also attend via Zoom; a link will be sent out just prior to the event. Thank you!

Braver Angels: "Depolarizing Conversations: Turning Arguments into Discussion", Saturday, December 13 from 2-4 pm in Friendship Hall at the 1912 Center.

The holidays are often a time when families gather, but in these tumultuous, polarized times, important conversations between family members who disagree are often either avoided or turn into intense arguments. This event is open to teens and adults and will focus on building skills that prevent tense conversations from becoming arguments, especially at family gatherings. Even if you've attended a previous Braver Angels workshop, this one contains new elements.

Our congregational meeting is coming up on Sunday, so if you’ve been waiting to turn in your pledge card, now is the time! Our congregation is almost entirely supported by members’ donations, so your commitment helps us plan for the next year.
No pledge is too small. For those with limited financial means, you still play a meaningful role in supporting our community. The total number of pledges matters, as well as the amount. It’s an important indicator of our future viability.
