Students, don't miss an incredible week at Carson Springs as we dive into this year's theme, **"The Good Shepherd"** — a study through Psalm 23.

What a gift it is to be part of a church family. 🧡

Little ones discovering Jesus with crayons in hand. Voices lifted together in worship. Faithful hands serving our community. Friends laughing around a table after a day well spent.

This is what we get to be together, young and old, inside these walls and beyond them. We thank God for it!

Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸
Today we pause to honor the men and women who gave everything so that we could enjoy freedom today. And one of the things we get to do freely is open our Bibles and seek God without fear.

Don't take that for granted this week. We are on Week 21 of the F260 Bible Reading!

This week we're in 1 & 2 Kings, walking through Elijah on Mount Carmel, the still small voice, and Naaman's healing. God who shows up in fire and in whispers is the same God we get to seek today.

This week's memory verse says it well "God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you." Psalm 63:1

Some of the most significant moments happen in the most ordinary ones. Nicole Cook came to faith sitting outside, waiting for her mom to pick her up from school. A friend shared the gospel. She got in the car and said, "I accepted Jesus." Her mom said, "What?"

This week on Tell Your Story, we got to hear from David and Nicole Cook who are two years into life in East Tennessee after a move from Texas that they didn't exactly see coming. They talked about how their faith was formed in the hard places and the grief of leaving behind a church that felt like home.

One of the most honest things Nicole said was that when God started nudging them toward international student ministry, she went to him with a list of all the reasons she couldn't do it and felt him respond: "I didn't ask you to. I just need you to be willing."

Their story is one of obedience over and over again, in the hard and the beautiful. We're glad they're here.

God is SO GOOD 🙌

Please join us in welcoming Benji Mendoza as our new Associate Pastor of Discipleship at Hillcrest Baptist Church!

Benji and his fiancée Stephanie are joining our church family, and we couldn't be more grateful for what God is doing. We believe He has brought them here for such a time as this and we can't wait to see how He uses them to help students and our church to find life in Jesus.

The book of Ruth is the story of two desperate women who encountered the grace of God and it led them from bitter to blessed.

They didn’t earn it. They couldn’t fix it themselves. God just broke into their lives.
That’s still true today. Whatever life looks like right now, God is pursuing you in His love through Jesus. You don’t have to find your way to God, because He is already on His way to you.

I prayed that over our church family and over Morristown today. If you need that reminder: this one’s for you.
