"We have so much fun together each Wed. morning at Pray and Play Lap Sit class. In the winter and early spring we meet at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Jackson St. and in the late spring and summer and early fall we meet at a local park. Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. we welcome all babies, toddlers and preschoolers to come with their parent(s) or grandparent(s).

We listen to a Bible story, sing songs, play with activity toys, and pray for the first half of the class. Then, we play with toys in the nursery/toy room and we enjoy playing with our friends. In the warmer weather, we meet at the park and play on the playground equipment after we have our Bible story/songs/pray time. It's a fun time for all, including the adults, who love to watch and join in with the children and to get to know the other parents/grandparents and share ideas.

Everyone with young children is welcome to this free weekly gathering. If interested, reach out to the church and ask for Cheryl Roth, teacher."

Recently, some of our Lap Sit and Sunday School moms and one grandma were guests of Ms.Cheryl for a "Pampering Morning" in Upper Fellowship Hall at the church. We had so much fun visiting while eating a complimentary continental breakfast. Then, we went next door to the Franklin School of Cosmetology for free manicures by the Cosmetology students (supervised by their teachers).

A huge thank you to everyone who was able to attend and a huge thanks to Franklin School of Cosmetology Owner/Director Shantel Leasure (one of our congregation members), and to Sheila Bunton, one of the head teachers there. It was such a fun morning! Happy early Mother's Day to ALL moms and grandmas everywhere! God Bless you all!

This week at Pray and Play Lap Sit:
We heard the story, "Jesus Loves the Children". After the story,we went up into the Sanctuary and looked at the beautiful stained glass window at the front of the Sanctuary which has Jesus with the little children around Him. We sang the song, "Jesus Loves the Little Children....All the Children of the World". Then, we played with toys in the Nursery downstairs and had so much fun playing together. After we picked up all of the toys, we went back to our classroom and found hidden May baskets (filled with flowers and treats) to celebrate God's beauty of springtime and friendship; we took the baskets home to enjoy.

All children, ages birth through preschool age and their parents/grandparents/caregivers are invited every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. to Pray and Play Lap Sit class at First Presbyterian Church in Morris.
