Home Fire Campaign
The Morris Fire Protection District in conjunction with the Red Cross and local volunteers are sponsoring a Home Fire Campaign. The Red Cross is providing and installing new 10-year battery life smoke detector at no cost to you. A Red Cross badged volunteer from the First United Methodist Church of Morris Early Response Team (ERT) will visit your residence. They will properly install, provide training to properly test the new smoke detector and educate occupants on fire safety including a “Fire Escape Plan”.
Please contact the Morris Fire Protection District Monday – Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm at (815) 942-2830 to schedule a new smoke detector installation.

The new Wesley Center, is a community and youth orientated facility in downtown Morris. The Wesley Center is part of the First United Methodist Church, located on the same city block as the Wesley Center. The Wesley Center has a large meeting area, comfortable lounge area, kitchen along with a large activity area. The Wesley Center also houses the church Early Response Team trailer and supplies.
