New Day Christian Church "Changed Lives, Changing Lives!"

Join us on Sunday mornings at 10 AM!

We are a collective body of believers whose lives have been changed by the power of God's word and His Holy Spirit, who are provoking change in the lives of others.

One of the hardest questions a believer can ask is not, β€œWhat am I willing to give up for God?” but rather, β€œWhat have I convinced myself I cannot live without?β€πŸ€”

The rich young ruler came to Jesus looking for life, yet walked away grieving because he discovered there was something he trusted more than the One standing in front of him. The issue was never the possession itself. The issue was what had captured his confidence.

Anything that becomes essential to your sense of security will eventually compete for the place that belongs to God alone. That is why Jesus invites us to count the cost. Not because He wants less for us, but because He knows that anything we cling to more tightly than Him will eventually ask for a price that is too high.

πŸ“–β€œWhere your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

What would change if the need for approval no longer had the final say?πŸ‘€

King David danced before the Lord with his whole heart, and not everyone understood it. But his focus was never on managing opinions; it was on honoring God. That kind of freedom of living with an audience of one is still available today.

It's important to know that the loudest voices are not always the most important ones. Galatians 1:10 reminds us that a life centered on Christ leaves very little room to be controlled by the expectations of everyone else. If you're looking for real peace, it comes from knowing whose approval truly matters.πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

πŸ“–"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ." - Galatians 1:10

God never intended for faith to become a place where people settle in and stop pursuing Him. Every season is an invitation to discover something deeper about His character, His love, and His purpose. The more clearly Jesus is seen, the easier it becomes to let go of the things that quietly compete for attention and affection.

Paul said, β€œI press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” There was always another step to take and another revelation to embrace. Keep moving toward Christ, keep learning His ways, keep making room for Him to shape your heart. A life that stays focused on Jesus will never stop growing.πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

πŸ“–"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:1-2

Uncertainty has a way of making people feel like they are falling behind, but some of God’s greatest work happens in seasons where every step requires trust. Abraham followed God without having the full picture, and God remained faithful to the very end.

If you're carrying questions about what comes next, remember that God still leads with wisdom, peace, and purpose. His hand remains steady, and His direction remains clear for those who stay close to Him.

Keep taking the next step. God knows exactly where He is leading you.πŸ’™

πŸ“– "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." - Proverbs 16:3

One of the great mercies of God is that He refuses to leave people trapped in the stories they tell themselves. It is possible to become so familiar with a version of reality that feels comfortable that it becomes difficult to recognize what is actually true. That is why God often places people in our lives who care more about our growth than our approval.

Nathan did this for David... What David could not see in himself, God revealed through a trusted voice who was willing to speak honestly. It was not condemnation that brought restoration; it was truth. The kind of truth that clears away confusion and creates room for healing.

There is freedom in living with nothing to protect and nothing to pretend. When the heart welcomes correction, wisdom grows, relationships deepen, and God's work becomes clearer. The people who lovingly tell the truth are often some of God's greatest gifts because they help us become who He already sees us capable of being.

πŸ“–β€œAs iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
