It's possible to know the story of the cross and still carry questions about how God sees you...

Hebrews 9 speaks about a conscience cleansed by the blood of Christ. God cares about that inner place where memories, guilt, and old accusations tend to linger. His heart toward you is revealed clearly in Jesus on the cross, where we see the clearest picture of His love, His grace, and His desire for you to know that you are fully reconciled to Him.

There is freedom in seeing God as He has revealed Himself through Christ. You are loved, welcomed, forgiven, and at peace with Him. Let those truths become the language of your conscience.🙏🏾

Your attention is being competed for all day long by notifications, opinions, responsibilities, entertainment, and worries, and every one of them is asking for a piece of you.

Whatever receives your attention regularly influences what stays on your mind, what grows in importance, and what eventually finds expression in your life. That is why Scripture tells us to “set your minds on things above” in Colossians 3:2. God cares about your attention because He cares about what is forming you. 💛

What you believe about God’s posture toward you will eventually shape your posture toward everyone else.

Paul says in Romans 5 that through Jesus, “we have peace with God.” You are reconciled, forgiven, and loved. As that reality becomes personal, your soul begins to live from a place of peace, and that peace starts showing up in the way you love people, extend grace, and forgive.

Receive what Jesus has already freely given you. A heart that knows it is forgiven is freed to extend it to others. 🙏🏾💙

Your view of God shapes the way you approach everything else. It affects how freely you pray, how you interpret disappointment, and where your mind goes when life gets confusing.

That is why knowing God through His Word is so important. David could walk into frightening situations with confidence because he had learned the character of the God he trusted. Psalm 145:8 says, “The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.” Truth like that gives your heart somewhere firm to stand when circumstances start telling a different story.

Pay attention to the assumptions you make about God this week, then bring them back to Scripture. The more clearly you know His heart, the more confidently you can trust Him with yours.🙌🏾

Jesus does not need help being relevant...

It is easy to add layers to Him until faith becomes a mixture of church habits, cultural opinions, crowded schedules, and a little Jesus somewhere in the middle. Paul wrote in Colossians 2 that in Christ “all the fullness” of God dwells, and that we have been made complete in Him.

There is something freeing about returning to the simplicity of Christ. Give Him your attention, let His Word shape your thinking, and make room to actually know Him. Jesus through and through is enough to shape an entire life.💙
