What keeps a church alive for 129 years? Not buildings. Not programs. Not even perfect people. It's God's unwavering faithfulness.

This Sunday we celebrated how God has sustained Foothills Christian Church through every season, every change, every challenge. From 1897 to today, one truth remains: God is faithful to forgive (1 John 1:9), faithful to protect (2 Thessalonians 3:3), and faithful even when we're faithless (2 Timothy 2:13).

But here's the question that matters: How faithful are WE? When Jesus returns, will He find us using the gifts He's given us for His kingdom? God isn't asking us to be the biggest church—He's asking us to be faithful. One day, the only words that will matter are "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21).

Let's not just celebrate what God has done. Let's commit to what He's still doing through us today.

Did You Know?

Research shows students can lose up to 20–30% of their school-year learning during summer break if they stop practicing reading and math skills.

But summer is also a HUGE opportunity for kids to grow spiritually, build memories, and stay connected to God!

This summer at Foothills Christian Church, we want to help kids and youth keep growing in faith, friendships, and fun all summer long with weekly Wednesday night activities and Vacation Bible School for ages 3- high school the week of July 27.

Let’s make this a summer full of purpose, laughter, and learning.

This Sunday, our congregation was asked, "Who Do You Trust?"

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Every day, we put our trust in something. We trust our plans, our feelings, our experience, or even other people. But Proverbs 3:5-6 asks a deeper question: Who do you trust most?

It’s easy to trust God when life makes sense. The challenge comes when we cannot see the outcome, when prayers seem unanswered, or when the path ahead feels uncertain. In those moments, God calls us not to lean on our own understanding, but to lean on Him.

Trusting God does not mean we will always understand what He is doing. It means believing that His wisdom is greater than ours and that His plans are good even when life feels confusing. When we surrender our ways to Him, He promises to guide us and direct our paths.

Today, ask yourself: Am I trusting God completely, or only when it is comfortable? Real trust means placing your heart, your future, and your fears into His hands.

God has never failed His people, and He will not fail you.
