🔥 There are moments in life where the world keeps moving… and you are standing completely still.

Everybody is going somewhere. Cars are pulling in and out. And you are standing there feeling like everything just stopped — and nobody knows. Nobody sees you. Nobody has any idea what you are carrying.

I’ve been there. And I want to talk about it Sunday.

This week we continue The Art of Lamenting with Week 3:

THE GOD WHO SEES TEARS
You Are Not Unseen

We’re going to look at:
• A woman nobody came looking for
• A king who turned his face to the wall and wept
• And the shortest verse in the Bible that carries more weight than most people realize

Before you even walk through the doors Sunday, here’s what I need you to know:

You are not unseen.

Bring someone who feels overlooked, exhausted, or alone. This is the reminder they need most.

Happy Mother’s Day from Morenci First Assembly!

Today we honor and celebrate every mother, grandmother, and mother-figure in our church family.

Proverbs 31 says, “Her children rise up and call her blessed.” Today, we want to do exactly that.

Thank you for every prayer prayed late at night…
Every sacrifice nobody saw…
Every hug, every tear, every word of encouragement, every act of love.

Thank you for carrying your families through hard seasons and loving faithfully even when you were tired.

Moms, you are a gift from God to your families and to this church.

And today, we also recognize those carrying grief, loss, or longing. To those missing your mom, grieving a child, struggling with infertility, or walking through a difficult season — we see you, we love you, and we are praying for you today too.

Happy Mother’s Day from our church family to yours.

This Saturday afternoon we will honor and celebrate the life of a precious woman who loved Jesus, loved people, and faithfully served others for so many years.

Sue McNiel, 71, went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2026, and while our hearts grieve her loss, we rejoice knowing she is now face to face with her Savior.

Sue lived a life marked by service and love. From supporting Arizona Air National Guard families during deployment, to over 20 years of dedication at Tucson Medical Center, to the countless ways she served her church family — Sue quietly made life better for the people around her. She loved painting, sewing, gardening, and caring for others, and her life left fingerprints on so many hearts.

We invite all family and friends to join us as we celebrate her life and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

This Mother’s Day we are doing something a little different.

We are not just going to tell moms they are appreciated.

We are going to set them free.

So many moms carry a quiet voice that tells them they are behind.

That they are not enough.

That everyone else has it figured out while they are still trying to catch up.

This Sunday we are going to dismantle that lie together.

Join us this Mother’s Day — Sunday, May 11th — as Pastor Josh Lane brings a message called:

Mom, You Are Not Behind

This message is for every mom, grandmother, stepmom, foster mom, spiritual mom, and every woman who has poured herself out for someone else.

Bring your mom.

Bring your wife.

Bring a friend who needs to hear it.
