Wherever you are in life, there is room for you. ❤️

✨We can’t always see what’s ahead, but we can trust the One who goes before us.✨-Even when the path disappears around the bend, God remains faithful.

Faith was never meant to be walked alone. We all need a place where weary hearts find rest, questions find grace, and hope is kindled again.

We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in Christ and walk alongside others. If Shepherd of the Hills is part of your journey - or if you’re simply curious - we would be honored to welcome you.

Whether you gather with us or another church family this Sunday, may you be surrounded by grace, rooted in truth, and reminded that there is always a place for you in the family of God. ❤️

Barbra has taken another step forward - she is now able to move both of her legs! While she is not yet able to walk, today she begins rehabilitation. Praise God for this encouraging progress.

Please continue lifting Barbra in prayer as she begins this next part of her journey. Your prayers matter, and we truly believe God is at work.

As we pray for Barbra, let’s also remember one another. Some battles are seen, while others are carried quietly. May we continue to encourage, love, and lift each other up in Christ.

“Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 ❤️🙏

Storms reveal more than they destroy.

Last night, lightning struck just inches from our church, splitting into one of our cypress trees and scattering burning branches across the roof.

This morning, the sun rose over a church still standing - a quiet reminder that while storms may surround us, they do not define us.

“The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house. It didn’t fall because it was firmly set on its foundation.”
- Matthew 7:25

May we be people who remain rooted in Christ. May we be a community that continues to build on God’s foundation, shining the light of our Lord whether the skies are filled with sunshine or thunder.

Storms pass. ⛈️🌬️🌅

God remains. ❤️

❤️ What a blessing to see Sunrise and Shine Preschool begin the school year with a full class!

We are thankful for the care and dedication that goes into creating additional opportunities for children and families in our community. Having quality options that invest in our youngest learners is a true blessing.

As a church family, we want to lift Sunrise and Shine Preschool, its teachers, staff, students, and families up in prayer as they prepare for the new school year.

May the Lord bless each child with joy, curiosity, and a love of learning. May He grant the teachers wisdom, patience, creativity, and strength as they pour into the lives of these little ones. May every family feel encouraged, supported, and surrounded by His peace.

We also pray for every student, educator, homeschool family, and those pursuing higher education throughout our community. May this school year be filled with growth, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to discover the gifts God has given each person.

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” — Proverbs 16:3 (CEB)

Congratulations on a full class! We are praying for a wonderful school year and God’s abundant blessings over everyone involved. ❤️🙏

Good afternoon, everyone! I hope you’re all experiencing a wonderful day filled with possibility. Just a little note about July 27th and 28th!🌈

A Call to Pray Together ❤️🙏

There are seasons in life when words seem too small.

When someone we love is hurting, we often wish we could take away their pain, carry their burden, or somehow make everything right again. Most of the time, we can’t.

But we can pray.

Many of you know our dear friend Barbara Ahmann. Through her kindness, creativity, generosity, and servant’s heart, she has quietly poured so much into our community over the years. She has encouraged others, celebrated with them, created beauty alongside them, and faithfully shared her life with those around her.

Today, we have the opportunity to share ours with her.

Steeve shared that Barbara has been diagnosed with a lumbar spinal cord infarction (spinal cord stroke). She is currently paralyzed from the waist down. While she still has sensation and continues to experience significant pain, she has very limited movement and is facing a long road of rehabilitation and recovery.

Please join us in praying for Barbara♥️for strength when she feels weary, peace when the days feel uncertain, wisdom for her medical team, and hope that remains steadfast through every step ahead. Please also pray for Steeve as he lovingly walks beside his wife, caring for her and encouraging her through this difficult season. Let us lift them up , and as they would have us do- lift one another up in the process ❤️‍🔥

This is also a gentle reminder that it’s okay to ask for prayer, and it’s okay to tell someone you’re praying for them.

You don’t have to have the perfect words. Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is simply letting someone know, “You’re not alone. I brought your name before the Lord today.”

Prayer isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about bringing our hearts before God and carrying one another with compassion. Whether your prayer is spoken aloud, whispered in the quiet of your home, or simply held in your heart, it matters.

If you’re reading this today, whether you’re part of our church family, another church, or no church at all and Barbara comes to mind, would you take just a moment to pause and lift her up? And if you’re carrying a burden of your own, know that you are welcome to ask for prayer as well. There is no denomination on compassion, and no limit to the love we can show one another and there is no limits to what the Lord can do ❤️‍🔥

“Carry each other’s burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (CEB)

May we continue to be a community that loves generously, prays faithfully, and walks beside one another through every season.

Barbara and Steeve, we love you. You are not walking this road alone. ❤️

Let’s not get tired of doing good, because in time we’ll have a harvest if we don’t give up.
Galatians 6:9 (CEB)

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Don’t be shaken. Always do excellent work for the Lord, because you know that your labor isn’t going to be for nothing in the Lord.
