St. Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church

St. Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church The theology of the Orthodox Church is fully described in the Holy Gospel of John. We respect, venerate and ask her to pray for us in the presence of God. St.

A parish of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America serving the southern Greater Indianapolis metro area temporarily meeting at Friedens UCC, 8300 S Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46217‑4943 The Orthodox Christian Church is based in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who has come into the world as a Man for our salvation. This is the foundational

belief of every true Christian. “Orthodox” means right teaching or right worship, and we understand our Orthodox Christian faith to be the full and right revelation of God’s desire for us to believe in Him, know Him, abide in Him and receive eternal life from Him. The clearest and most concise explanation of our faith can be found in the ancient Nicene Creed. Our venerable mother and patron Saint Mary of Egypt was a desert ascetic who repented of a life of sin. She lived during the sixth century, and passed away in a remarkable manner in 522. The Church celebrates her feast day on the day of her repose, April 1; additionally, she is commemorated on the Sunday of St. Mary of Egypt, the fifth Sunday in Great Lent. Mary of Egypt is a part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, itself a part of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East. Our Church traces its roots in unbroken apostolic succession to first century Antioch, the city in which the disciples of Jesus Christ were first called “Christians” (Acts 11:26). We pray that your life will be filled with His blessings. For more information in regards to our Archdiocese, visit: http://www.antiochian.org/

We're facing an urgent situation: Patient care could be impacted in the weeks ahead due to a steep drop in scheduled blood donations.

We need blood donors to help patients who are counting on lifesaving blood following accidents, during surgeries, and for treatment of conditions such as sickle cell disease and cancer.

You can help by scheduling an appointment to give blood or platelets: https://rdcrss.org/4vQbfgQ
