We are thankful for our District’s outreach ministry teams- including Persis’ team and the LCC Hearts of Mercy & Compassion team at CTR Tulsa!

Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tulsa, OK is one of our wonderful Hearts of Mercy & Compassion affiliate churches! They also have a Disaster Response team and an LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs team. Persis Comfort Dog has established a relationship with a school counselor named Tawanna, through the years. Recently they wanted to give her a big THANK YOU, from her classroom children. So, the HMC team presented a to her, covered in the handwritten signatures of her students. Thank you all for showing Tawanna how loved she is! 💙

Join us each week as we pray for one of our Oklahoma District churches. Today we pray for Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Guymon. We pray that the Lord would strengthen their congregation in faithfulness to His Word and joy in His promises. Bless Pastor Wescoatt, their leaders, families, and volunteers with wisdom, endurance, and love for one another. We pray that God would use Trinity as a light in the Guymon community. May the Holy Spirit continue to grow them spiritually and bring many to hear the Gospel and receive His gifts of grace.

Today we remember those who laid down their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice points us to the greater love of Christ, who laid down His life for the world. On this Memorial Day, we give thanks for those who served and rest in the hope won for us through Jesus.
