Today was beautiful.

Not because it was perfect or polished, but because it was real.

We gathered as one body, with one heart, to love people in the name of Yeshua.

There was prayer.
There was worship.
There were tears.
There was vulnerability.
There were holy moments of connection that reminded me what church could look like.

Love is spelled T-I-M-E.

And today, we gave time.

Time to listen. Time to pray. Time to serve. Time to remind people they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”

Today, we didn’t just talk about unity.

We lived it.

Praise God for what He is doing through the many ministries and bodies who showed up, and for those yet to come 🙏

The city just voted unanimously to give local organizations 60 days to come together and create a collaborative plan to help care for those living in Tent City.

And honestly, I’m praying this becomes more than a plan on paper.

I’m praying the Lord stirs the hearts of leaders, churches, nonprofits, businesses, and everyday people in our community to move as one body — not divided by opinions, politics, pride, or inconvenience, but united by compassion.

Because these are not just “homeless people.”

They are sons and daughters.
Mothers and fathers.
Veterans.
People battling grief, addiction, trauma, mental illness, job loss, broken families, and seasons most of us may never fully understand.

Some need accountability.
Some need treatment.
Some need shelter.
Some need structure.
Some need someone to finally see them as human again.

But all of them need a community willing to care enough to do something.

My prayer is that this 60-day window becomes a turning point — not just for Tent City, but for Lawton.

May we have the wisdom to build something that truly helps.
May we have the humility to work together.
And may we have the courage to love the poor, the needy, and the vulnerable the way Yeshua taught us to.

This is not someone else’s problem.

This is our opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ.
