Which parable of Jesus has spoken most deeply to you?

Jesus often used simple stories to reveal powerful truths about God’s kingdom, His love, and how we are called to live.

Join us for Sabbath Vesper Friday at 7:00 P.M. as we journey through The Parables of Jesus together.

Come listen. Reflect. Share. Grow.

This conversation matters.

Whether violence has touched your life personally, affected someone you love, or you simply believe our churches and communities should be places of safety and compassion—this conversation matters!

In the midst of difficult conversations, we need Heaven to chime in. Because when Heaven chimes in, we are called to listen—and moved to respond with compassion.

Join us for EndItNow Sabbath as we are “Moved with Compassion”—turning compassion into action, safeguarding those who are vulnerable, and working together to build safer churches, homes, and communities.

FAITH CHECK 101: EXAMINE YOURSELVES

We check our blood pressure.
We check our bank accounts.
We check the oil in our cars.

But when was the last time we checked our faith?

The Bible says:

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.”
—2 Corinthians 13:5 NKJV

Here’s a question I’ve been thinking about:

If Jesus is alive, what evidence of the risen Christ can be seen in my life?

Not evidence that we are perfect. None of us is.

But is Jesus changing the way we trust?

The way we obey?

The way we respond when life gets difficult?

The way we love people—even difficult people?

Maybe resurrection power isn't always something dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like praying instead of panicking.

Forgiving when forgiveness is difficult.

Trusting God when you don't understand.

Responding differently than the person you used to be.

Choosing love when your natural response would have been something else.

So here's today's Bible-study question:

Where have you seen evidence that Jesus is changing you?

Or, if that's too personal:

What do you think a life changed by Jesus should look like?

No perfect answers needed. Let's talk about it.

The resurrection is the fact.
Faith is our response.
A transformed life is the evidence. This isn't a checklist for salvation. It's an invitation to examine how our relationship with the risen Christ is shaping our lives.

When does the Sabbath really begin for you—is it simply a time on the clock, or an invitation from God to step away from the ordinary and enter His rest?

Isaiah 58:13–14 describes the Sabbath not as a burden, but as a delight—a sacred time when our attention turns from ourselves toward God.

What might change in our Sabbath experience if we began preparing our hearts before the sun goes down?

Join us Friday at 7:00 P.M. for Sabbath Vesper as we welcome God’s holy hours together and explore what it means to truly “call the Sabbath a delight.”

Have you ever survived something that you thought would take you out—and wondered why God allowed the bite, but didn’t allow it to destroy you?

Paul was shipwrecked, stranded, and then bitten by a venomous snake. Yet Acts 28 records something powerful: he was bitten…but still alive!

What do you do when life bites unexpectedly? And what might God be preparing to reveal through what you survived?

Join us this Sabbath as Pastor Dwayne Campbell shares the message:

“Bitten But Still Alive!”
📖 Acts 28:1–6 NKJV

You survived the bite. Now come discover what God may be doing next!

FAITH: FACT OR FEELING?

How do you know that what you believe is real? Is your faith built on what you feel, or is it grounded in what you know about Jesus Christ?

This Sabbath, join us for a brief but thought-provoking sermonette during Church at Study as a prelude to Sabbath School as we take a personal look at our faith through the challenge of Scripture:

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.”
— 2 Corinthians 13:5, NKJV

Come ready to reflect, examine, and be encouraged!

This Sabbath at Montgomery First SDA Church!

Are we sometimes so busy doing that we miss the blessing of simply being with Jesus?

Join us this Sabbath as Elder Chris Daniel shares a timely message:

“Can’t Talk Jesus! I’m Busy!”
📖 Luke 10:40–42 (NKJV)

Martha was serving. Mary was sitting at the feet of Jesus. Both loved Him—but Jesus reminded Martha of what mattered most.

In a world filled with schedules, responsibilities, distractions, and endless to-do lists, this message invites us to ask: Have I become too busy for Jesus?

Come worship, reflect, and be blessed with us this Sabbath at Montgomery First SDA Church.

Loving God. Loving People. Sharing Hope.

End It Now: Moved with Compassion ❤️

End It Now is a worldwide initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, working in partnership with ADRA to raise awareness and advocate against all forms of abuse and violence.

This year’s theme, “Moved with Compassion,” reminds us that compassion is more than feeling concern—it calls us to respond. As followers of Christ, we are called to speak up, protect the vulnerable, promote safety, and provide practical support to those who are hurting.

Our Focus: Stopping violence and abuse through awareness, safety, and practical support.

Together, we can be Moved with Compassion and help create homes, churches, and communities where every person is treated with dignity, love, and respect.

❤️ Prevent. Protect. Restore. End It Now.
