The Core Team members from the fraternities across our diocese met with their Director to have a whole team on deck business meeting. The meeting consisted on introducing new members to the group, going over the events of the upcoming year, and chatting about future service projects.

The meeting ended with a beautiful prayer and reflection about empathy, understanding, and love for thy neighbor.

The Salinas Fraternity met last night with their special guests: Sacred Heart’s Knights of Columbus “Cor” group. The Knights led the group in worship and with a testimony titled “Life before and after Christ”. They also sponsored a wonderful Italian dinner.

The group it’s inviting all young adult men to an upcoming retreat at the end of October titled “Men on a Mission”. More details coming soon!

Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s meeting. We appreciate you especially as the group it’s fast approaching to celebrating their 3rd Year Anniversary!

The Salinas Fraternity Core Team met tonight to plan the Fraternity Nights of the group and other events for the rest of the year including community outreach and promotional activities.

The team surveyed their members to ask about what topics, activities, and speakers they would like to have for future meetings and completed the calendar with as many of the recommendations as possible. Thank you to everyone who filled out a survey!

Keep this group in your prayers as they continue to serve through the second half of 2026.

Thanks be to God Book Club Season 1 concluded tonight! The group gathered for a Luau potluck to talk about this past book club season and to begin planning for Season 2. The group also started planning for a couple of social activities for the rest of the summer.

Thank you to everyone who has joined these last 8 weeks and for your support and participation. Some members hadn’t finished reading a book since graduating high school and they finally did after so many years!

Today, we remember the Most Reverend Richard J. Garcia on the anniversary of his passing into eternal life.

As the fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Monterey, Bishop Richard faithfully served our local Church with humility, compassion, and a shepherd's heart. We give thanks to Almighty God for his faithful ministry and for the lasting legacy of faith, hope, and charity he left to our diocesan family.

Please join us in praying for the repose of his soul.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Hello July! Here are some of the new flyers for your local fraternities for the months of July through September.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us this first half of the year. We extend the invitation for you to join any of our groups. They are coed and for those ages 18-35!

Coming soon!

Starting July, the Young Adult Fraternities will begin using the same flyer format for their meetings across the diocese. New flyer, same fraternity spirit!

Each flyer will have similarities and differences. These are the five things to look out for:

1. Name of the local fraternity
2. The days of the month and times the group meet
3. The actual dates the meetings take place
4. The room and parish where the group meets
5. The WhatsApp group chat link to each group
