Funerary Friday time...
The difference between a cemetery and a graveyard is that a graveyard is affiliated with a church while a cemetery is community burial space, but we tend to use the terms interchangeably. This burial space has a single and double grave shelter. Grave shelters are more unusual in Florida, so this is a rare find, and they are really well maintained.

This was a first for me.
Stopped by Wing Cemetery in Covington County, and I found a gravestone that is protected by a new grave shelter. There was an older shelter that once protected the grave; it can be seen on the Find-A-Grave entry for the deceased at https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/168096350/emma-lee-stokes
What was unusual, though, was the little girl's cause of death is listed on her gravestone. Emma Lee Stokes died of a rattlesnake bite.

Time for Tombstone Tuesday!
Whenever I visit a different country, I always make it a point to go to the cemeteries. I took these pictures at Mariakirken Church Cemetery in Bergen, Norway, when I was there in 2019.

Good Mourning Monday!
I did this video in Nov. 2024 when I still put myself in my videos. This one is about "zinkies."

Something Sunday...
There's no sound for this video, but I wanted to share it anyhow. I was told by the lady who works at the museum that they do not know much about these two young children. They are buried in Daphne Methodist Church Cemetery. The church has now been converted into a museum.
