Mrs. Katherine H. Gantt, age 93, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Monroe County Hospital in Monroeville, Ala. Mrs. Gantt was born in Pine Apple and had been a resident of Excel for numerous years. She was retired as a Dallas County School Teacher after 33 1/2 years and

Thank you to our Monroe County teachers, administrators & support staff…we were able to greet 300+, as they arrived for their annual teacher institute.
We gave out goodie bags, words of encouragement, high-fives  and hugs. It was a great morning!
