🙌🏽 What an amazing Sunday at The Shelter Church!

Our 10:30 AM service was filled with heartfelt worship, joyful praise, and the presence of God! It was a blessing to come together as a church family, lifting up the name of Jesus and receiving encouragement through His Word. We are grateful for everyone who joined us today! ❤️

🎶 Our Shelter Church Youth Choir blessed us with beautiful singing, lifting their voices in praise and reminding us that the next generation is growing in faith and using their gifts to glorify God! What a joy to see our young people worshiping the Lord! 🙌🏽

📖 Scripture: Psalm 61:1–4

Pastor Carson delivered a powerful and timely message reminding us that life can make our hearts heavy, but God never overlooks us! He sees our pain, knows our struggles, and understands every burden we carry.

Just like David, we will experience both victories and valleys, but God has a Word for every season! When life becomes overwhelming, we must learn to CRY OUT TO GOD and allow Him to lead us to the Rock that is higher than ourselves.

🔥 WHEN YOU ARE OVERWHELMED, JESUS IS YOUR SHELTER!

God is our refuge, our strength, and our place of safety. No matter how heavy life gets, remember that you are never alone!

🎉🙌🏽 HAPPY PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH! 🙌🏽🎉

Today, we take a moment to honor, celebrate, and show our love to an incredible man of God, Pastor Nathaniel Carson!

Beyond the pulpit, you are a husband, father of five, coach, son, brother and friend. Your consistency, patience, and willingness to sacrifice reflects a heart committed to serving God, his people and your family.

We recognize that the journey has not always been easy. Even while navigating the grief of losing your father, you continued to carry the responsibilities of ministry and family. You never quit!

Your perseverance reminds us that faithfulness is not the absence of hardship, but the determination to trust God through every season.

Pastor Carson, we celebrate the man behind the mantle and pray that God renews your strength, restores your joy, and blesses you for every seed you have sown.

🙌🏽 What a powerful Sunday at The Shelter Church!

Our 10:30 AM service was filled with heartfelt worship, uplifting praise, and a beautiful atmosphere of faith and expectation! We are grateful for everyone who joined us as we gathered in God’s presence to be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded of His goodness. ❤️

📖 Subject: “What to Do While You Wait!”
📖 Scripture: Isaiah 40:25–31 (KJV)

Pastor Carson delivered a timely message reminding us that there is purpose in the waiting room! Just because we cannot see what God is doing doesn’t mean He isn’t working behind the scenes.

Sometimes God places us in the waiting room because we aren’t ready for what’s happening in the operating room. DON’T FAINT IN THE WAITING ROOM! 🙌🏽

We were reminded that while we wait, we must continue to PRAY, BELIEVE, SEEK GOD FIRST, and TRUST HIS TIMING! Our motives matter, and everything we desire may not be what we need right now.

🔥 God doesn’t need your help or your counsel—He needs your TRUST!

Whatever you’re waiting on, remember that God sees, God hears, and God knows exactly what you need!

WAIT ON THE LORD AND BE OF GOOD COURAGE! 🙏🏽

What an incredible Sunday as we celebrated our 14th Church Anniversary during our 10:30 AM service! The atmosphere was filled with joyful praise, heartfelt worship, love, and gratitude as we reflected on 14 years of God’s goodness, grace, and faithfulness. We are thankful for everyone who joined us for this special celebration! ❤️

Dr. Allen brought an encouraging Word reminding us that no matter what we’ve faced or what we’ve been through, GOD IS STILL FAITHFUL! Just as God reminded Abram that He was his shield and exceeding great reward, we can trust that God will continue to lead, protect, and provide through every season.

Fourteen years ago, God gave us a vision, a place, and a people. What began with a small group, sharing a building, and BIG faith, has grown into a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Then in 2015….God made room!

Looking back at these pictures, we can truly say GOD MADE ROOM! 🙌🏾

He made room for The Shelter Church.
He made room for families.
He made room for children.
He made room for healing.
He made room for worship.
He made room for purpose.
He made room for lives to be CHANGED and paths to be REDIRECTED.

From where we started… to where God has brought us… ONLY GOD COULD HAVE DONE THIS! 🙏🏾

And if He made room then, we believe He is making even more room now! 🔥
