Delights & Treasures for Holiday Magic

The deadline for donations is almost here — October 1 — and we still need your help to make the Holiday Market Raffle and Silent Auction shine! If you’ve been thinking about contributing, now is the perfect time.

We’re hoping for gourmet chocolates, specialty oils and vinegars, children’s games, toys, books, gift certificates, and w**e for the Raffle.
For the Silent Auction, unique treasures are especially welcome — fine art, quilts, antique jewelry, weekend getaways, special dinners, or that one‑of‑a‑kind item someone will absolutely love. (Puppies and kittens, though adorable, must stay home.)

Please bring donations to the Holiday Market box in the parish hall by October 1.

Here’s a quick look at our Ministry Fair in full swing! The Parish Hall was buzzing — laughter, conversations, and lots of catching up as folks explored ministries for the fall. The energy was high, the sign‑ups steady, and the joy unmistakable.

What a wonderful Kickoff Sunday! Our 10:15 a.m. service set a joyful tone for the day — Father Nate welcomed everyone with warmth, offered a thoughtful sermon on forgiveness, and the choir returned in beautiful voice with a foot-stomping anthem that practically raised the roof.

Because of the weather, we moved the Ministry Fair into the Parish Hall, but the energy never dimmed. The Wholly Fun Committee created a bright, welcoming space, and each ministry added its own decorations, treats, and enthusiasm. The Vestry and their helpers also did a terrific job with the setup, making the whole space feel ready for celebration.

And yes… there were cupcakes. A whole table of them — plus pigs in blankets — keeping spirits high as people visited, signed up, and stepped into new ministries for the fall.

A heartfelt thank‑you to Jim Streeter for capturing the day so beautifully. His photos show the joy and connection that filled the Parish Hall.

Thank you, one and all, for making the day so full of energy and hope.

The Wholly Fun Committee is thrilled to invite you to our Kickoff Sunday celebration on September 13 — a wonderful opportunity for our Church Family to come together and begin the new program year with faith, hope, grace, and fun.

Kickoff Sunday Highlights
• Two Inspiring Services Join us at 8 a.m. for peaceful, contemplative worship, or at 10:15 a.m. for uplifting worship featuring the return of our beloved Holy Spirit Choir.
• Special Coffee Hour After the 8 a.m. service, enjoy a special Coffee Hour — a lovely chance to connect with our 8 a.m. community.
• Ministry Fair — Now in the Parish Hall
Following the 10:15 a.m. service, the Ministry Fair will be held indoors in the Parish Hall due to the uncertain weather forecast. You can look forward to treats, conversation, and the chance to celebrate and learn about all that we do at Holy Spirit Parish.

Even with the skies looking unpredictable, the spirit of Kickoff Sunday remains bright. Come see old friends, welcome new ones, plan things to do, and meet our just arrived rector, Father Nate Darville.

Thank you, blood donors and volunteers!

We’re grateful to everyone who came out for yesterday’s Blood Drive with the American Red Cross. Thanks to your generosity, 21 units of blood products were collected — a gift that will help save lives in our wider community.

A heartfelt thank‑you to Jim Streeter for capturing photos of the day. His images always help us tell the story of our ministries with clarity and warmth.

We’re also grateful to Marcy Hanson and the five nursing students from the University of Montana who staffed the refreshment table and checked in donors throughout the drive. Their service earns them community credit, and their presence made the whole event run smoothly — a true win‑win for everyone.

Thank you for showing up, rolling up your sleeves, and supporting this important ministry of care.
